Ace(s) in the hole(s) (Patreon)

So I couldn't sleep like, at all last night for very weird and specific reasons, so, what do I do now that I'm awake and unable to sleep? Continue working on this! Amongst other things. Most of the dialogue here was cooked up maybe an hour or two before I had to get up, my brain is just dried and shriveled up from a lack of sleep at this point.

This was also a little bit of an experiment in post-processing too, trying to get the lighter surfaces to pop just a little bit more in the image. I'm rather satisfied with how it turned out despite burning up all my waking power doing so!

Another thing I'm experimenting with here is softening the shading in certain areas where the light 'falls off'.

One challenge I had was doing the undershot with Trigger (Also a take on a lovely rendition done by the talented Drunk_Dragon) step a little outside my zone of comfort as far as lighting goes. The layers and folders for that part of the shading got... Really out of hand, and I feel I could have done a little better with that portion as well.

Anyway, don't expect this to be the last of these three! I have others planned ahead. >:3

And now, I must sleep. Been running all day on purely fumes. May try getting some progress done on the image with Lucy before I poof for a month.
