I believe that Liberty’s reaction during this pregnancy makes sense for her character. Liberty always has been great at pretty much everything she does, so in the few times she needs help, she doesn’t want to admit that to herself. We saw this back during season 1 when she didn’t want to admit she was getting tutoring for math due to her dyscalculia, which led to all those rumors spreading. That issue is pretty relevant in lot of smart/gifted students in general. There is a common occurrence of super smart kids taking forever to get their licenses because they just couldn’t understand how to drive the first time and immediately quit. It was a pretty common thing for the people I took AP classes with, and even now, some people just refuse to learn.

yes!!! thank you for saying this!! a lot of the kids who were labeled gifted (heck out school system used to call it "gifted and talented") can't handle not being 100% perfect because from early childhood they were never allowed to be anything but 100% perfect. our schools called it gifted and talented and the teacher reinforced this idea that they were better than the average kids. so mistakes, screw ups, human moments were for "other kids" and not for them. and they can't accept otherwise.
