I'm not sure if I really think the Malia and Stiles scene was rushed, I don't think people consider that she's basically an animal still. She's lived most of her life as an animal and doesn't really have a lot of human interaction, interpersonal skills, she's still acting like an animal would, if she feels like punching someone she does, if she feels like kissing someone she does. As for Stiles, well he's a hormone filled teenager who happens to have a lot of drugs in his system and hasn't slept for days.

I LOVE Malia so I don't mind that Stalia came out of nowhere. I think they rushed the connection between them so that Stiles would be emotionally invested enough to let the Nogitsune possess him in order to save her life. I'm NOT a fan of how weak Scott is, and how easily Allison and Kira are defeated. Like, they made such a huge deal out of Scott being a True Alpha. I want him to have some alpha perks. He should fight better, be stronger, than regular alphas. Instead, just like Kinkade said, he fights like a beta. Like Scott from season 1. And Kira, too. They'll have her swinging her sword around thin air for some impressive show for ten seconds only for her to immediately be smacked aside like she's 12 years old going after a pro wrestler. It's FRUSTRATING. I think they were trying to avoid making Scott too OP but they over corrected and made him super weak instead. It's WEIRD. I need a little more, McCall Pack.

I love Malia, her story is interesting, and also Stalia is great. Yes, it was a bit rushed but also like a previous comment mentioned she still has that animalistic instinct and as for Stiles, he is a teenager full of hormones lol. Anyways, I can't wait for the next episodes

Also, the Nogitsune isn't Grandpa Argent at all. As you can see from this episode, the "person" who was the nogitsune is actually dead. What's communicating with Stiles is like spirit, a japanese fox. Hence, the character (kanji) of self, as well as the japanese accent of the spirit.
