I am generally with you with Sam, and still am in general for this episode. The only thing I would add for this episode, is that I don't think you are supposed to read too much into the school thing - it's not supposed to be a "makes Carly's life forever" opportunity. It's just a snobby school, where she would just get the same great grades as she does now. Except with worse people, and none of her friends. Sam and Freddy are still not being great friends. But Carly was always going to choose to stay, and the school wasn't supposed to be a big deal.
