It's not grandpa Argent. It's the dark oni and has been all along. This is probably one of my favorite episodes of the series, the next one too. Dylan O'Brien is so good at what he does. You really feel how scared Stiles is and you also can feel the immediate difference once he's completely possessed.

Okay, Mr. O'Brien. You dropped this 👑, King. Look at him!! A show on MTV had no right being this good. Btw, that wasn't Grandpa Argent. He had that same slow drawl but he also had a Japanese accent. It's connected to the video files Allison got on her phone with the Japanese voices. Also, atrophy means wasting away. In this case, they were saying Stiles' brain was starting to waste away in certain parts, so it means he's got that same type of dementia his mum had. Scott and Stiles talking and hugging before Stiles' MRI always makes me cry. Love their bond so much.
