I actually love how passionate you are about this show. Since you said you enjoy the conversation, does that mean you’re actually reading my comments? Haha, it’s very hard to tell, because sometimes you miss story beats and character motivations from episode to episode so it’s hard to know if you’ve just forgotten or if the comments actually aren’t being read. Either way, I’m going to write this long comment because there are many things to be discussed. First and foremost: What is -A going to do? I mean -A ran over Hanna with a car. Just this episode, -A tampered with Toby’s scaffolding. Either of those things could have KILLED them lol The Toby thing was directly because Spencer didn’t keep Toby safe. So -A quite literally might commit murder, so Hanna’s instinct and all of their instincts not to tell their loved ones, have good reason behind them. Not to mention that Hanna didn’t even want Caleb to be involved in the first place. She was very much pushed into agreeing by the other Liars. Caleb was silly to be working on something like that in public lol And no, Toby doesn’t know about -A. None of the love interests do. And that leads me to Spencer’s decision. I think that was actually a very smart, albeit painful decision that she made. She knew that it would have rippling effects on their relationship moving forward, but it is the one thing she can do to keep him safe and out of harm’s way. By telling him something that actually makes him not want to be with her anymore, that will make him safe. The Wren and Spencer thing… I just think Spencer was smiling because she was uncomfortable. I don’t not think there are still feelings there, but I think Wren was doing a lot of heavy lifting there. And no one sane will disagree with you about the age gap. Also, Jenna and Garrett are not dating anymore. We know that they broke up a couple of episodes ago. Speaking of more inappropriate relationships - Aria and Ezra. I just want to make it clear that it doesn’t matter how “bright” or “smart” Aria is. Older men will take advantage of that anyway, groom you, make you fight for the relationship and think that you’re pursuing this because it’s what you want, etc. No teenage girl is too smart to be put in a situation like this by an older man and Ezra SHOULD be ashamed of himself. At this point, to me, it doesn’t matter how involved Jenna is in all of this. She’s being groomed herself, sure, but she is still complicit and implicated in a lot of these crimes: Her sexual harassment/assault of Toby is what REALLY makes me dislike her, but she also knows that they all are recording videos of herself/the town, so maybe it is a little more complicated.

thank you for always speaking out against aria and ezra in your comments. this show tries so hard to give it a pass and act like it's okay and it's not. the actors themselves spoke out against the storyline. and i'm pretty sure the books even condemned the relationship too. but for some reason, this show acts like they're star-crossed lovers and it's so sick. aria might be "mature for her age" but that being an excuse for sickos makes my skin crawl. because no ammount of maturity changes the fact that she's still a child. no ammount of being "smart or bright" changes that she's still a child. ezra is NOT some handsome swoony love interest. he gives me the creeps and will always give me the creeps. and i'm so thankful that the actors at least speak out against this and try to assure the audience as best they can that it's not acceptable. idk what the show was smoking in trying to portray otherwise.
