Ok, so I can help answer these questions and none of this is spoilers technically since Aldo (Lincoln's dad) explained everything in season 1 when he saved Lincoln from Kellerman. "The Company" = Think of them as the illuminati or the masons. Basically they're the secret organization in the shadows and with their money and numbers, they control politics and the people in politics so they can further their own agenda through using ppl of importance. Strategically, having any world leader in your pocket is huge. But especially the US president with all the nuclear capabilities. This company has infiltrated every corporation and sector. Now that you know how big their reach is, here's how T-Bag got to Pananama. T-Bag got caught in Mexico by the cop who more than likely recognized him from the news when he was trying to "steal" the luggage. The Company's contacts in Mexico police informed them, and now the Company is using T-Bag to draw Michael and Lincoln out in Panama since they at least know what country they're in. Currently T-Bag is being watched by Company agents and being uses as bait. So they don't give a damn what he's doing right now so long as it draws Michael out. Mahone is using the message board site Michael told Sucre about when they were in Utah digging for the money. Ben overheard this and tried using it to catch Michael after he himself was caught by Mahone. Mahone is pretending to be sucre here so he knows exactly where to catch em.

Please read this comment. It's all about paying attention with this show. First - they said numerous times that there is a company out there who controls ''every shot this country takes'' - that is an actual quote from the show. You have seen in the show how Kellerman poisoned the current president in season 1 to make Caroline the president by succession. So there has to be a boss of this company. Second - There is nothing convenient about it (if you pay attention). Michael's plan was always to get to Panama - he just got there later than he planned. T-bag was apprehended in Mexico (because that was the layover he took to go to Bangkok) but they didn't said what happened to him after he was apprehended so we'll see next episode why he is in Panama. Sucre knew T-bag was in Panama because the guy from the tourist authority saw his name on a flight so he and Bellick will go there to track the money (that he probably no longer had). Now Mahone did all that research into Christina Rose and found the boat order to be made (but he doesn't know where it is) so he used the website which has a thread like function and that was a website that Michael likely created to be used as a means of communication. Now everyone can make an account there since it was an open website but not known. So Mahone chose an username like Fernando to trick Michael in meeting him thinking he was meeting Sucre instead. Now Mahone knew about the website because Ben told him that he (Ben) overheard Michael telling Sucre that if he needs him to post a message on this message board. Nothing convenient about it. I loved the conspiracy angle in this show and the company. No offence, but you probably don't care because you have not paid close enough attention and missed many tidbits that were given to us by various characters about this company.

The Company (Season 1 recap) Episode 1x10 The Company gets introduced via Quinn (psycho friend that VP Caroline sent after Kellerman&Partner messed up to kill Lincoln's son, Veronica and Nick) in the scene in which he breaks Kellerman's finger. Quinn told them that he's taking charge now and that it didn't come from the VP but from the Company. Kellerman later in that Episode meats VP Caroline face to face - visibly upset - not because "he got a baby sitter assigned" but because she got The Company involved. Quote: "You have woken a sleeping beast. Those guys have greater ambitions than any of us and they get beyond nasty real quick if things don't go their way. And now that they're in it, they won't go away which is bad news for EVERYONE" Episode 1x15 The second "Company Character" Samantha Brinker is introduced in a meeting with VP and Kellerman in VP's office to discuss the newly appeared evidence regarding the possibility that VP's brother was still alive and later recognizes Lincoln's father on the surveillance tape. Episode 1x17 Brinker elaborates on Lincoln's father and tells Kellerman that Lincoln's father used to work for The Company but went rogue - which was a main factor as to why they chose his son, Lincoln, as the fall guy for the faked murder of VP's brother Episode 1x19 Lincoln's father - after rescuing Lincoln from the attempted murder after crashing the prisoner transport - elaborates on what Brinker said in 1x17. Quote: "There is 'a company' that controls every shot the country takes". He exposed the company's shady strategy involving the company of VP's brother. The Company "fixed" it by staging the death of VP's brother and they then pinned it on Lincoln to flush out his father who was in hiding after blowing the whistle. Throughout the last third of the first season there are a lot of scenes with Brinker and the VP that suggest that it's Brinker who is in power over the VP and not the VP who is in charge. Brinker is telling the VP how to vote on the environmental issues etc - which shows how powerful The Company is, who're also bank rolling the VP's campaign: she's just a pawn of The Company. Episode 1x21 The fact that VP is just a pawn is clearly shown and stated in a meeting the VP has with "random suits", all standing together, in which Company people (the random suits) tell VP she needs to convince the President of what he needs to do and that if she can't do it she might not be the person The Company needs. And that The Company always gets what they want. Followed up by a scene in which VP desperately tries to convince the President to do what The Company wants the President to do - but fails. The Company has been behind everything and has been the Big Bad from the very beginning.

Prison Break was never a prison break story. The elaborate prison break is certainly what makes this show unique and is the main character's Season 1 plot so it makes sense to name the show "Prison Break". It emphasizes what makes the show special, is very catchy and cleverly conceals to true plot of the show (to then positively surprise people with the show's depth) But Prison Break was never a prison break story. Why do you think half of Season 1 took place outside of the prison? Because it was as much about getting Licoln out of prison as it was about how he got there in the first place. Prison Break has always been a government conspiracy show. Much like Nikita for example. In Nikita you have a corrupt government agency trying to control the government. In Prison Break you have a corruct corporate group (the Company) trying to control the government. And as my episodic summary of Season 1 show: it has always been about that.
