I liked this episode a lot too, mainly because of the reasons you stated but I also liked how Roy and Thea became tied to the main part of the story. Despite how much I dislike the idea of Laurel and Oliver together and understand that he could've asked Tommy to dinner instead, I think the point of that scene wasn't necessarily romance but to fit with the theme of the episode which was Oliver saying that he had to be alone like when out to eat with Dig. He decided to let Laurel in but he also had that nice moment with Felicity too where she had been wondering just like him if it was better to be alone because of what they do and later, he told her that she could tell him about her day.

I get your pov on Laurel and Oliver. I don't ship them either, but I understood why it's hard for both of them to move on. They never had any clear closure. Plus, it's not that black and white. When Oliver was presumed dead and Sara too Laurel had to pause her emotions towards their betrayal bc she was grieving them. So now that Oliver is back she finally gets to deal with that, but just bc he betrayed her in the worst possible way doens't mean her feelings just went away. They are now just much more complicated. And I totally understand that from a viewer's pov it's just exhausting that she won't move on, but it's not that simple when you're in that position.

Great reaction, The Oliver asking Laurel to dinner or coffee wasn't a romantic thing it was him stopping his hiding from a life and making plans with a friend, it was just Laurel because she showed up at the time he decided to take Diggles advice, for me this is nearly a 10, i loved the ROy and Thea stuff, the Laurel Quinten and Dinah stuff, love Felicity's emotion in this one and Oliver talking to her consoling her and then telling her she can talk to him if she needs someone to talk to, the scene where Laurels mom admits she knew about Sara and Ollie was brilliant Alex Kingston absolutely killed it
