This episode was just out of left field. Burt and Kurt are two of my favorite characters so I really thought we were gonna lose him in this episode. I also agree, Kurt's version of I Wanna Hold Your Hand is a 10. This episode would've gotten a 10 for me if had not been for the ridiculous grilled cheese plot line. That story wasn't even funny, it was just stupid and frustrating. Still I enjoyed your reaction as always.

Dana (Dah-Nah)

it's funny, when I was a kid and watching this, I hated Kurt almost as much as I hate Rachel but watching it now, he's in my top 5

Andrea

I haven't seen a man so upset over a sandwich since Ross Gellar. 😂

Aaron Lopez

I think this episode is so amazing! And i dont mind the grilled cheese because many people find their religion or god in their own ways. I think this episode was handled perfectly

I wish they didn't do the whole grilled cheesus storyline and just stuck to kurt but I guess they didn't want to make it too sad since glee is also a comedy but I really wouldn't of minded. I am so happy you love Kurt, he truly shines and is the best character!

I totally agree about the grilled cheesus storyline it was so unnecessary & I definitely would’ve preferred if the whole episode was just focused on Kurt. Kurt is also my favorite character, there is something about him that instantly drew me to him. Big shoutout to Chris for being such an amazing actor.

Lovegood

They really also should have just asked Kurt was doing, instead of only trying to force their beliefs on him. Chris was amazing in this ep, he actually won a Golden Globe for his acting in this ep.

I'm not a big Kurt fan....when I first saw this episode....i liked Kurt but this episode shows a side of him that I just don't care for and I think that side becomes more prominent in later episodes. On the other hand my dad didn't wake up...so rewatching this episode hit deeper for me.😭

totally understandable to not like the Finn part of the episode. I think the thing to think about tho is that it was symbolizing his searching and journey with religion thru the episode. Is it a little silly, yeah, but Finn is a silly character. I like this episode because religion can be complicated to talk about, and the episode does it well because you cant really choose a side in this one. Yeah some of them are a bit preachy in the beginning but as it goes on, Kurt does the same thing by shutting them down when they go to pray. At the time Kurt didnt understand that they all just wanted to feel like they were doing anything to help. Both sides were right and wrong at certain points.

This is my favorite episode Burt and Kurt are my favorite characters. I was super disappointed in kurt when he said to cancel Friday dinner totally felt for Burt. I hated the grilled cheese. I’m not even religious and I feel like it was just downright unnecessary. Not to mention his wishes were all selfish. The religious outlook on it gotta say I’m on kurts side. I personally wouldn’t have let them sing to my family member. I would have asked them to leave a lot sooner. I also wouldn’t have went to church either but I also felt like out of everyone in glee club puck and Mercedes were the ones most worried and I appreciated that. So I thought that was neat. I agree with sue completely on the religion thing school is not at all the place to discuss it unless your in private school. Emma running in to yell at her I thought that was uncalled for. First ask kurt maybe he had a good reason. So forth. Just didn’t look good for her. Sue was basically proven right when she did that showing It brings up too much drama. Anyway great reaction :)

Agreed about the Fin thing... hated that part. As I was growing up I was actually pushed away from the world of religion. I attended church many times as a kid and a couple times as an adult. Those had NOT been places I would ever consider going again. As a child and going I heard a lot about IF YOU DON'T BELIEVE IN GOD/JESUS YOUR GOING TO HELL. As an Adult going to a Youth oriented church got to hear the Pastor say IF YOU ARE GAY YOUR GOING TO HELL. I expressed myself to that pastor after the sermon was finished and told him it was a HORRIBLE thing to say. More than half of those children HAD been gay and I saw at least a handful of them with tears in their eyes. I never when back again. I have a belief of a HIGHER POWER and get told I'm wrong for NOT believing in GOD, the Bible or going to church... religion pisses me off for THAT reason. In this episode I HATED Quinn and kinda disliked Mercedes and Rachel. Believe in what you want, but FORCING your beliefs on others is NOT ok. They didn't know what Burt believed in... what if he woke up while they spun their web and made him go into another coma. They should have asked Kurt if they could prey by his dad's bedside. I don't NOT believe in GOD... its the people who praise and shove I have an issue with. Same for ppl who DON'T believe trying to convert believers. I actually was going to re-try attending church before this pandemic started... maybe I'll still try when it ends... so long as PEOPLE stop spreading it.

I myself didnt mind the grilled cheese aspect of it all, because as some one mentioned it above it had to do with finn as a charecter and his feeling on religion that is why his talk with Emma was so important and that is why his song was so fitting. Because he did come into the realization of the sillyness of it all. Also although it may seem this feels like a kurt based episode i feel it wasnt just him, it was also finn and a bit of mercedes and all of that entails. Anyway i am just si grateful for this episode for what it meant to its viewers and the conversations it sparked BACK then and also grateful it earned Chris his first award 🥰
