The guy that Root met up with at the end that you thought was familiar was a previous number way back in season 2. It was episode 11, "2πR", when Reese was in Rikers and Finch posed as a substitute teacher, Mr. Swift.

the guy at the end was Caleb Phipps. The student who wanted to throw himself in front of a train because he felt guilty about his brother's death. Finch became his teacher, while Reese was in Rikers and convinced Caleb not to commit suicide. He's also some kind of genius who wrote a specific computer code. He wrote a really powerful compression algorithm and his teacher said it could compress the entire library of congress into it. Finch later gave him a piece of paper with the first numbers of Pi and told him his phone number was in there somewhere 😄

Primus

This is generally considered the weakest episode of season 4. Still a fun little episode. I enjoyed it. It's too bad really about Shaw, but it always bothered me how many people were too into Shaw and Root. I mean they are awesome, but I very much enjoy episodes with just Finch and Reese. Finch being my favourite character and all.

well I loved this show before Shaw was a part of it, so now I love it just as much. Shaw is not the reason why this show is great. It all started with Finch and Reese and they are the reason this show has worked from the beginning 😊
