I never saw it as a "Gloria having an issue w Javier wanting to remarry because he can't move on". Her jealousy was definitely all about Manny, made clear in the episode itself. It makes a lot of sense, too, cuz Manny is very different intellectually than she is and is very likely to bond w Trish very fast and very hard. Meanwhile, Gloria kind of struggles to understand a lot of Manny's interests. I thought it was interesting that Trish confessed she was jealous of Gloria because she was kind of overplaying the "I'm a very smart woman" bit by referencing art every two sentences. She was trying to balance out what she thought she lacked in comparison to Gloria by accentuating what she DOES feel confident in having - her smarts. Don't think this was an exploration into the toxicity of Gloria/Javier but rather just showing yet another angle of Gloria's strong (maybe too strong??) attachment to Manny. It's the "Hispanic mums and their momma's boys" trope (which the show does emphasize on quite a bit for Gloria/Manny) rather than the "jealous ex" trope, which I appreciate.
