openly gay famous movie/tv actors just off the top of my head: Matt Bomer NPH jonathan bailey colam domingo kerr smith buuuut they all came out after they had some form of success. it is still frowned upon to be out in hollywood but what he did to alex was still so messed up.

apart from sir ian, and elton john, i only ever knew of NPH being an out celebrity in the mid 2000s. i suppose ellen too but i didn't pay much attention to her until like 2008. and all these people still waited until they had some success under them and until things felt safer for them to do so on their own terms. even today many people choose to not come out publicly. hollywood is weird. it says it's open and encouraging but at the same time really isn't. the media can still be very cruel. fans themselves can be very cruel. a lot of people would rather their private lives remain private.

I like Grubbs and I love Wakey!Wakey! 's music but they didn't do him any favours making his whole storyline become this romance with Miranda that they didn't really build up. Joy really does do a good job with this storyline and it's interesting to see cuz depression isn't just crying it can manifest in anger and lack of caring. But I agree it definitely would have hit harder if we'd seen more of Haley's mom. Nathan is great. The unwrap party was cute and Sophia looked amazing. I love how you keep asking where Taylor is. It would definitely be cool to see more of her especially when her sisters are going through depression and being stalked by someone unstable.
