Light is better, cause you can see her body more сlearly due to contrast

Dark would be appropriate for nightborne in general, but i agree with what Rulo said. The light background makes Thalyssra pop out more in the artwork.

Damn, I wish I could afford to commission this. :D beautiful piece, I love the perspective in combination with the pose in the overall composition! It creates a great effect of depth in the scene.
