Of course, the best part about this episode was Del pranking Rodney. I love how much he got into the lie. I love the ending too, I love the look on Del's face when Rodney made a comment about the water. This is a very short review because there isn't much to say lol. This was a great episode with a fun plot.

Thanks for watching folks !!! Hopefully, you all are happy, safe, and healthy !!

Always one of my favourite episodes...just my opinion but these series 2,3 and 4 were the golden years for me, maybe something to do with growing up watching these particular episodes/series but the rodney/del/grandad dynamic was perfect!!

Shout out to John Sullivan, the writer. I've never seen a TV show that has so many amazing episodes with completely unexpected twists at the end. Every episode ties together so well. He died in 2011 but it's great to see people still enjoying his work all these years later.

Great reaction Josh! This is a hilarious episode and I'm glad to see you agree! This episode, the next episode, and the 1983 Christmas Special "Thicker than Water" (essentially series 3, episode 8) are a trilogy of top-notch episodes from the early years. Series 6 might be stronger overall (largely because they're longer episodes with added dynamics), but this is a real high point from "The Granddad Years" in my opinion. :-)

This is one of my fav episodes. Glad you enjoyed it. Del is so harsh towards Rodney sometimes. Makes it all the more funny when he gets his own back. The key is you don't know, if, when or how it's coming.

You know what, I enjoyed OFAH when I was really young but didn't pay a lot of attention. Watching these with you, didn't realise how funny it is!

John Sullivan was a great man, my Nan’s cousin, only met him once when I was around 11/12 but always stuck with me.

Thanks man, I appreciate it. I am looking forward to the Christmas episode. I have been hearing the show gets even better as it goes along =]

The Peckham Pouncer 😂 one of the great episodes. A lot of great Grandad moments too!

smash that breakfast not gonna lie haha... have you ever put "porridge" on any votes? its epic 100.... there are some slighty racist jokes at the expense of jock the scottish black guy which is a shame... its nothing nasty but it epitomises the time (which as you can imagine wasnt good) but other than that its amazing - i reckon if you added it to the next vote it would be up there......the black jokes alwayes make me uncomfortable and its the only thing that lets it down :/

Downloaded the app just so I could comment! I love your reactions so much man and I cannot wait for you to see the rest of OFAH, in my opinion the best episodes are season 4 onwards which I rarely say about any shows. Enjoy the rest of the series I’ll be watching with you! 😊

Hey Josh. Great reaction as always! A couple of translations for you... Gordon Bennett - An exclamation like, "for God's sake", or "WTF". Soppy as a sack - drunk Old Bill - Police "Looks like a bad day at the Blue Cross" - The Blue Cross is a veterinarian charity, so the breakfast looked like "a bad day at the vets". Alright (as a greeting) - A very informal way of saying, "Hi". This isn't actually asking if someone is alright so it doesn't require an answer to the question - other than an "alright" back. A pound to a penny - a certainty The Old Bailey - The highest and most famous criminal prosecution court in England, responsible for the prosecution of most of the country's high profile criminals Got form - have a criminal history (a big thing is made of Rodney's brush with the law for possession of marijuana in college and is an often repeated subject) Talking of returning themes. Del is very proud of Rodney's GCEs in Maths and English and mentions them a lot. GCE is "General Certificate of Education", and are just high school exams we take before we leave school at 16 and go onto further education. Which makes Del's pride in them all the more funny because he talks about Rodney as though he is the brain of britain because he has them. They only let her out a weekends to "Get a bit of practice" - to find a male companion ;) The Pools - a precursor to the National Lottery Braces - what an american would call "suspenders" (suspenders, in English, are what you may call a garter belt) Another punt round for him - another look for him Mods and Skinheads, or Mods and Rockers - two opposing groups, formed in the 60s that had differences in style and music taste. They were always fighting and battling with each other. Doss house - temporary accommodation for the homeless Rhythm & Blues - Cockney rhyming slang for shoes Whistle (and Toot) - Cockney rhyming slang for suit.

Thanks for all the info bud! It is very helpful. Sometimes things just go over my head if there is a phrase or cultural reference. I appreciate the time you took to point this all out man. Take care and stay safe!

The ratio between your mic and the show was abit off ... dunno if it was the same for anyone else. I couldn't hear the episode fully 🤷‍♂️
