Pilot

Walter White is a high school chemistry teacher who learns that he has lung cancer. With a new lease of life, Walter sets up a mobile meth lab with a former student and becomes a drug dealer in order to secure his family's financial security.

Breaking Bad is my favorite show of all-time. It's the perfect mixture of drama, suspense, and comedy, with some of the most amazing character development I've ever seen. This first episode does a great job at making Walter a relatable and sympathetic underdog who the viewer roots for. It's funny to see Bryan Cranston in tighty whities here as he frequently wore tighty whities in his previous show, Malcolm in the Middle.

God I'm so glad you're doing this - you're the most insightful reactor I've ever seen but the shows you watch mostly aren't my cup of tea, was so blown away by your insight and analysis and the absorbing the lore and everything else on GoT I always imagined what you'd think if you sunk your teeth into Breaking Bad. This is like Christmas lol This show starts well but grows into something else, some of the best television ever made, and I just can't wait!

It always amazes me just how much happens in this pilot, without it really feeling rushed. Great pilot, great show, great reaction. Can't say I'm super fond of the format, can't really see much :( I'd hoped I could do a watch-along with a muted copy, but the pausing (which I genuinely love in your other reactions) made it too much effort. I like watch-along format, but this middleground with audio and pausing is a bit weird. Might stick to youtube for this one, but looking forward to the next episodes nonetheless!

I know I tried to keep up with the pausing but I gave up after awhile...idk what to do cause I love her reactions but it sucks not to be able to really see anything.

Really excited to get your take on the characters and how they develop. As the show progresses, there’s definitely some disagreement amongst fans about right vs wrong and good vs bad, but I trust your judgement. Curious to see how this unfolds. Great start
