- First of course the music! Light of the Seven is the name of the piece, and I put two links in a reply to Steveo's comment. - Lancel could barely move because he had been hamstrung by the 'little bird', which means he cut Lancel's Achilles tendons so he could not get out to warn anyone (actually cutting the tendons behind the knees is hamstringing, but close enough). Obviously Qyburn must have instructed the kid on this horrific act, trusting him not to question. It's why Qyburn treated Varys' 'birds' so well - so they would trust enough not to question. - The wildfire below the Sept was "the rumour" that Qyburn referred to in the previous episode, and later Tyrion told Daenerys about it (and more- there's MORE!) - Right about it being Arya who avenged the Red Wedding. Jon should get *a little* credit, but not the wolf's share of it - that's Arya's. Maybe if Jon had killed Roose, but even then Arya is #1. - Agin, such great intuition you have, twigging that Jon Snow is really Lyanna's son and not Ned's. You only got one thing wrong about the whole Lyanna-Ned-Robert-Rhaegar-Jon mess. Trouble is... spoilers! Oh wait it's only a spoiler for anyone who hasn't seen the rest of the show yet, and I've given plenty of warning to you who know who you are. Why would Lyanna charge Ned with protecting a child born as a result of rape? Okay the mother's natural instinct is in play here, sure; but there's got to be more. Like others have said, the clues are there if you know how to read them. Ned never spoke of Lyanna to his children. When Rhaegar won that tourney, after beating ser Barristan, he rode past his wife Elia *and laid a wreath of winter roses in Lyanna Stark's lap* (naming her the Queen of Love and Beauty for the tourney instead of his wife Elia). This act caused a silence... Openly dissing his own wife in public like that to make a gesture of affection toward Lord Robert Baratheon's betrothed??? It's unclear whether they were married yet, but Rhaegar clearly spurned Elia. So as it turned out, two men loved Lyanna, and two women loved Rhaegar, but the only child borne from this tangled mess had dark hair rather than silver, I guess proving that the seed ISN'T always strong! Lyanna loved Rhaegar, so she really *never was raped.* There's more, but I've spoiled enough stuff already - just not for Sophie! ;P

I love your words at 1:10:55: "The best EVERYTHING, of ANYTHING... EVER!" Well it IS, truly, one of the best episodes of television ever produced, up there with a couple from Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul, Battlestar Galactica, The Expanse, even Babylon 5, even a certain season one episode of the original Star Trek; and that's a VERY incomplete listing as I'm sure others will attest.

I got goosebumps the last 15 minutes or so! Gosh, I love your reactions to these, and I LOVE your analysis of them. You are so sharp and tuned into things most viewers aren't. I hope you watch The Expanse one day soon.. You would fall in love with it all the same. Incredible world building, politics, amazing cast.. By coincidence, it's one of George R. R. Martin's favorite shows and has been referred to as GOT in space. Anyway, see you in season 7, Sophie!

Please watch the R+L=J it's definitely the best video to be watching after this incredible reveal

borntrouble

In the books Martin does a lot more hinting that "Jon" is the child of Lyanna and Rhaegar from...."the kidnapping". I think it really hits hardest knowing that Ned went through most of his adult life letting his wife think he cheated on her and letting everyone else think he might be the type of guy to go make bastards with a whore or whatever. All just to protect his nephew from being killed by his buddy Robert...On another note, I don't think that the Lord of Light ordered Melissandre to burn Shireen. In the books there isn't any indication that she will be burned, and Stannis definitely won't do it because she isn't even with him. So I think the show just put that scene in for shock value and because they were trying streamline the show by getting rid of the Stannis story arch.

I loved your reaction. And yes, the reveal about Jon can be confusing for those who haven't involved themselves in the book theories. But, there are many hints in the show. Here's a compilation video: https://youtu.be/3xaspBsfgRg

Valene

Oh, if you do watch that compilation video though, don't read the comments. Too many spoilers.

Nana-Afia

Ik people suggest it, but I would NOT watch the yt video linked. It can be a spoiler for information revealed in later eps.

Im no book reader but even i figured out Jons heritage after this scene. Please react to R+L=J by Robbiemcd. I did after season 5, plus there's many clues, Ned is honourable he wouldn't cheat, especially with a whore.

Nebulous Shooter

R+L=J and Red Nose Day can be safely watched, but it would be better to have a mod donwload them so you don't get spoilled by comments and recomended videos' thumbnails and titles.

Jon Biavati

I was waiting for this episode and you did not disappoint!

R+L=J is the video you should react to next. There are no spoilers, nothing you haven’t already figured out in this reaction. It just gives all the many hints that first time watching viewers (including myself) missed. PLEASE react to the video!

R+L=J is not the video you should react to next, but rather one that you MUST react to next. It has become a tradition for everyone reacting to do so :) Especially, because you said this came out of nowhere ^^ Did it really?
