The spell that turned them into vampires was only meant to make them immortal and more powerful. It wasn’t meant to make them have to drink blood to survive or burn in the sun. All those were side effects she didn’t see coming.

Such a good episode

She killed them on purpose so they couldn't have children

I think u're underestimating Dahlia if u're saying let her come back and deal with her, she literally said that Esther's powers, one of the most powerful witch we have seen in TVD, are nothing compare to hers, so yeah, at this point I was just scared. If u remember, Elijah said in TVD that, besides the white oak, the only thing that could kill an original is a very powerful witch, so i think that in a twisted way, Esther was trying to protect them.

I think you have every right to hate Esther but it shouldnt blind you from where she comes from, unlike mikael Esther actually cares for her family. If you look into all the bad she’s done it most time is fueled by either the best for her family as a whole in her eyes or to try and correct the mistake of making her children monsters. Because regardless how you see it the orginals are monster, all of them have done brutal and unforgivable things to eachother and other factions/ people. That’s why they have so many enemies especially klaus. Esther didn’t purposely agree to every first born being given up, she just never thought dahlia would scoop so low in the bargain. Wasn’t until it was time to collect for dahlia that Esther found out about the first born bargain. Your also downplaying dahlias power, if Esther (the most powerful witch to be introduced in the Vampire diaries) is frighten by dahlia then you better bet dahlia is a threat that shouldn’t be engaged which is why Esther wanted to kill hope, because she wanted to protect her family. Again completely understand the hate towards Esther as I obviously don’t agree with a lot she has done but her motives are truly not as wicked as you think, either way great reaction and hope your doing well
