So when Klaus realised what the necklace truly did, am I the only one who thinks Finn looked kinda surprised and a little upset too? I mean, I don't like Finn all that much, but if you think about it, it would make sense for this to upset him. He grew up watching Mikael abuse his brother due to what he perceived as weakness, I can't imagine that was fun for him either. Also... Question. Was the necklace spelled to only work on Klaus, or anyone who wore it? Because if it weakened anyone who wore it that would mean it weakened Marcel too as he would've worn it as a child. (Which is just adorable! I love that Klaus gave it to him!) And clearly Klaus has never seen Marcel as weak. Idk, I just love the idea of this necklace doing the same to Marcel as it did to Klaus, and it meaning nothing to Klaus as he didn't love Marcel based on strength, he just loved him. (But of course, it's also very possible that it was spelled to only work on Klaus... Idk...) I really love that both Klaus and Hayley show understanding towards Esther. They acknowledge that she went through a lot, losing two children, and that she turned them out of love. But they also don't let that stop them from hating her. I just really love that. They have a certain amount of empathy towards her, without it interfering with their hatred towards her. Marcel knowing the Mikaelsons better than just about anyone is one of my favourite things. Especially when he uses it against them. He has such an understanding of each of them (mostly Klaus, Elijah and Rebekah, but with his understanding of them comes an understanding of them all in a way...) and he is so good at using that to his advantage. But it always just reminds me of the fact that he was literally raised by them and it makes me smile... Haha And you're right. Joseph Morgan is a phenomenal actor!

So glad u're back with the originals reactions, I missed them. Anyway, i think Esther truly loves her kids, but she does in a complicated, unhealthy and weird way. Also, i think she was scared of Mikael, i mean yes she was very powerful, but it was a totally different World for women at that time, my mom used to tell me when I was a kid that her grandma was physically stronger than her husband, but she was still scared of him, it's mental.

I agree, I think people forget that Esther was forced to live on the other side for 1,000 years not being able to do anything but witness the unspeakable and unforgivable acts her children did to humanity and the other groups such as werewolves, witches and so on. Because it’s a show of vampires mainly (the originals) we ignore how awful they treat the humans and other factions but if one sits down and truly sees how little the orginals care for the living they truly are the villains and what Esther sees becomes quite clear. But yes I agree she truly cares for her children but after so many years it’s hard for her to separate her children from the monsters vampirism turned them to

Totally agree, even tho i love Klaus, Elijah and Rebekah, i can see Esther perspective too, yes, she's the one who made them turn along with Mikael, but i think she didn't expect for them to become like this and now she's trying to fix them in her own way so i kinda understand where she's coming from, that's not working with Mikael tho, i hate him with passion 😂
