Natasha's training overwhelms her better nature in Ties That Bind, a book that is as good as possible in a minor scenario. With her mind asway as Natalie Grey she just can't but help falling into a dark path with Andreas Bull, a nasty fellow whose position pays off. It hits a lot of good drama, which pays off very well in a tale rich with dark overtones. Some part of the story and character never left the red room, and that was probably the most intriguing part. There was little doubt who had the upper hand the whole time, Bull was never a match. Here's hoping the Black Widow movie inspires some new tales.

I liked how Nat turned things around there and got back in control of the situation. The non-sex story was interesting, as well. The sexy situations did not quite tickle my lizard brain, tho. I can't help but hope you consider coming back to this after watching the movie and we get something that ties closer to it. I am reminded of the WandaVision parody: it was made before the full season was out, so there was potential for much more, not only other cool characters, but sexy situations that would be closely related to it. That's what I like the best: when a sex parody is closely related to the movie/series. Anyway, keep up the good work, Tracy!

You may not have realized it, but this was a very specific parody, just not about the MCU. This issue is deeply connected to the current BW comic series.

I did not know that specific comic, but it did feel like a tie-in to a specific comic/series, yes. It's just that I watched Black Widow yesterday and I remembered both Ties That Bind and your WandaVision parody.

Thanks for the link, tho!

Unfortunately a comic parody takes many weeks, even months of production. The new BW was only released yesterday, so there's not really any possibilities of making a tie-in to it so soon. Problem is that, by the time the comic finally gets completed and ready for release, the readers are usually more interested in whatever new comic/series comes next, so they don't really care that much anymore. Wandavision only worked because I focused it all on episode 2, and got it finished around when the series finale was up.

Yes, I realise that production cycles take a lot of time, don't worry. My comment was simply a wish in the wind, not a critique at all. Unfortunately, we mostly live in the present, and I realise that it is not easy to go back to something that is done for when there's a shiny new thing to play with. Both Black Widow and WandaVision have much more potential when it comes to cool (female) characters. Hopefully The Marvels' release in 2022 will give you an opportunity to play with Monica Rambeau (just another wish in the wind, sorry), for instance. Anyway, don't mind me. 😇
