I actually really like this version of Kitty and Llamaboy does a great job drawing her. I just like his art in general. Please have him draw both Black Cat and Kitty more often! :D

I was severely disappointing in House of XXX. Its motivated entirely by an in-universe plot that is incredibly interesting. It plays out in strong character beats with interesting themes and costumes. Its characters, both supporting and main, are strongly built referencing history, of both 616 and the Tracyverse. The sex and art are incredible, the positions and pairings are a big payoff to anyone reading these books and hoping for a Kitty issue. The cutaways embellish and strengthen the main pairing, adding a great deal of sizzle to the steak without being remotely distracting. Several contest pitches and ideas churn into a potent mixture delivering virtually everything readers of this issue could want amplified by a unique and intriguing setup. During the intercourse the characters exist in the moment, allowing their interactions to diagram an intriguing psychological connection to the action. Its so unnecessary, especially when the pairing could've been shoved into a last page flashback and the rest of the book could've featured context-less retreads. Why isn't the story focused on random interactions and characters who look and act utterly generic and completely against their core natures? Why does this story have to remotely satisfy on every level instead of subverting that by delivering none? It cruelly and sadistically mocks readers by delivering greatness throughout by competently and deliberately making a quality story.

It is interesting for as close knit as Ultimate Peter and Kitty got, main universe have little to nothing - although 'Kate's history with Peters, maintains. There's the creative use of phasing as always with these two. Shame 'Kate' never went full boss pirate, like on the cover. But since it seems to be leading into a second part, there's still time :)

I thought the art was great and the creativity shown in utilizing phasing was top-notch. I never really was a fan of Kitty in the comics, but I felt that this showcased her really well. The only thing I would question is the decision to include the flashbacks of Iceman, Storm and Pyro. It just seems unnecessary to cut to them suddenly, show one panel of sex, say a few lines and then move on. For Iceman too it requires additional speech bubbles to explain away his recent change in sexuality. These comics don’t have a ton of pages so I really feel that they should have more of a focus on the main story.
