I didn't quite get to the hands today, but thought I'd share the first stage sculpt of this boy. He's planned to be in a resin figure featuring Cynthia, which is probably a few months out, but I think he'll be pretty useful in general for other things too. There's a lot of tuning and additional detail left to do, as well as things that need to be merged, like the head to the body, the ears... but I'm really happy with how this is coming along.

If you have any questions don't hesitate to ask in the comments.

Enjoy the update!

You should do a Rottweiler next. No one draws Rottweilers better than you. 🤤

I do actually have a question, sir. Will you ONLY be doing this one, or is Tanta likely to be done in the future? (Forgive me if you already addressed this...It may have been in a post that I dont have access to at my current tier)

Peanut

I love how well the proportions and the definition of his body work together in 3D, amazing job

Are you planning to print 3D model of this bad boy? If so, I would like Have one too ;)

zaush

So far I've got the two nick variants to do, then cynthia, then i think the next most voted is Tanta. So yes, I think she's definitely on my list of to-dos

VoxelRabbit

are you resin printing this figure? if you are i have a buisness that could help you make a bunch of these

Graye

I don't suppose you are doing streams and/or stream recordings of your modeling? I've always be interested to learn more about the process of 3d modeling.

zaush

The resin printer is only for the master. I'll be casting with two part resin via silicone molds

zaush

I actually did record the entirety of modeling this. When I stream work on him next and complete the base sculpt I can edit down the footage and post

zaush

He's being used for the Cynthia tandem figure, I hadn't considered printing him all by himself

Graye

YAY! I am very excited to watch. I did some basic 3d modeling in school, but always wanted to learn characters for 3d. I'm very rusty in the programs these days, but at least getting a sense for the flow of how a good character is modeled would be pretty awesome to see. I can't wait!

zaush

Thanks! Should improve as I work on it, this is just an initial pass

What's neat is that I think a rottweiller can be created by simply modifying this one
