The pendant glowed with a strangely enthralling light as she pulled it off the altar in the ruined temple. She could hear what sounded like footsteps echoing in the halls and she quickly turned and ran from the ancient structure. Once she was well into the mountain paths, she threw the pendant around her neck and affixed the chain. The pendant's glow grew more intense and felt warm against her chest as a formless voice began to trumpet in her head, sealing her fate and bestowing it's gift upon her.
