Hello, my wonderful fans! This is Rebis.

This May turned out to be very chaotic. Japanese platforms such as Fantia, Fanbox, and DLsite have implemented AI regulations one after another, but their contents were vague, and the standards were different even within each of their own groups.

To be honest, I have experienced great disappointment with Japanese platforms. I predict that it will become common for artists to be assisted by AI in the future, and such regulations will disappear. Until then, the fact that AI is not regulated here for now is fortunate for me.

As I cannot continue the serialization of Rimu's manga on Japanese sites, I am considering starting partial Japanese support here as well and guiding Japanese readers.

Since the announcement of AI regulations on May 10th in various places, my motivation has admittedly fallen a bit, and the production of Rimu's manga has been delayed.

Still, I have progressed up to page 50 and are finally heading into the exciting main part. The production is tough, but I'll keep at it!

However, the translation of Rimu's manga is progressing!

Due to the schedule of the professional translator I hired, I had to wait until the end of May. And finally, the translation and proofreading have finished, and my assistant and I are entering the Englishization process.

In June, I will be able to deliver a new chapter in English!

...Well, but since I can't post Rimu's manga on Japanese sites, I have to proceed with other works at the same time for fans there. As of now, I'm considering returning to the world of [MAKE YOUR VERY OWN HAREM ACADEMY WITH THE REALITY ALTERATION APP!]

This tanned Gyaru character above was created with the world of Harem Academy in mind.

While I was drawing her, My ideas were wandering, and this is what I was thinking. ”Hmm hmm hmm. Come to think of it, I want to make a game too. An RPG using a reality altering app... sounds good...” That's why there are some expression variations that look like in game standing images... heh heh...

In April, I was in poor health, and in May there was the AI regulation... The past two months have been awful, and I was unable to deliver many new works to all of you. I sincerely apologize...

Even in such circumstances, I am truly grateful for the warm support from all of you.

Thank you very much!!

I'm not gonna lie, I don't think any of your English followers would look down on you making duplicate posts for each Japanese and English. Speaking from my personal experience, I've been a fan of your work long before I even discovered your Patreon, often just viewing your untranslated stuff long before some unrelated third party translated it. I love your work and wish the best of your personal success, it's why I'm still here with my $10 subscription. Once people learn that creating good works of art using AI is not as simple as 5 minutes of work, a lot of the fear about AI replacing artists will die down too. For one, the US Copyright Office has already determined that AI art is not copyrightable. Anyone who wishes to create works of art or trademarks will have to still rely on an artist to obtain that copyright. New technologies scare people, eventually those fearful thoughts will fade. Even in the hard times, I encourage you to persist, to keep doing what you enjoy. Edit: As always, can never have enough Gals and Gyarus.

Thank you for your thoughtful words, KatoBen! I feel the situation is gradually changing. In particular, Adobe's move to incorporate AI into Photoshop seemed to have eased many artists' fears, as I see it. Going forward, there will likely be more pursuit of advanced integration of art and technology (dare I say, that's something I'm pioneering ahead of other artists). I'm also delighted that you've taken a liking to my Gyaru art! Whether it's drawing them with classic techniques or with a level of realism that's impossible to achieve by hand, it's my pleasure.

I always appreciate how you try to innovate your art style and try new things Rebis. When it comes to AI it's all about how it's used with a lot of nuance, I think that it'll quiet down eventually. If you want to have JP posts here that's no issue. I am glad you continue to take care of yourself too Rebis, health of yourself and family is always important.

Rebis

Thank you for your kind words! My family and I have fully recovered our health. The ample rest we could afford was thanks to the support from you and all my other supporters. I aim to continue improving my art. I hope you enjoy my new works coming after June!

Morello

It's good to hear that you're better again! You should take care of your health first and foremost. As for the gyaru, isn't she the one from the student council picture? Chisuzu's childhood friend.

Rebis

Thank you for your kind comment, TPA! Both the Student Council's Gyaru and she have twintail hairstyles. However, the Student Council's Gyaru has silver hair, and I intended to draw them as different characters.

Morello

I see. Twintail Gyaru's are cute, so having more is always nice. And I guess she also has very visible abs, unlike the student council girl

ShockInfantry

It good to hear from you, sorry for the uncertainty around AI arts, but I am glad to see you are working on more 2D Gyarus! Hope we get to see the Student Council Gyaru as well!

Ace the Enemy Stand

No one can blame you for the implementation of such regulations. The views on the tool are 50/50, but what you're doing is what wanted to back since it emerge. And matters pertaining to Gyarus, I think this idea is amazing! Especially if it means the potential of a growing world full of sun-kissed beauties ♡ Keep it up Rebis!

RensiQ

I hope you continue to care for your health Rebis. It is unfortunate about the regulations regarding AI on Japanese sites, but I would like to believe the support for Rimu and almost real idol and art is just as strong. I am excited to see more of them whenever possible. On another note, a RPG game or just a game with the reality app and harem academy would be amazing. The potential of having fun in the game with current or new characters seems endless. I personally would like to see Alexis in the game if possible, but these are just some thoughts. Anyway, take care Rebis and I look forward to the next update.

Rebis

Thank you ShockInfantry! I really love to create Gyaru art in every forms, traditinal 2D, 3D, and ultra-real one. I'll draw more gyarus including the student council Gyaru!

Rebis

Thank you Ace! For the time being, I am aiming to resume the comics, but at the same time, I will always be thinking about games as well. One day, I would like to create a game where you can explore a map filled with Tanned Gyaru!

Rebis

Thank you for your kind words, RensiQ! My staff and I continue to work on the production and translation of the Rimu comic today as well! Also, I believe that the combination of a reality-altering app and RPG could be something really interesting. When the game becomes a reality, I would of course want to include the first-generation heroines like Alexis!
