Heat has Hired + Development Update (Patreon)

Thank you to everyone who applied and to those I interviewed. I've taken on a new programmer who has a lot of experience with VR that I hope will be valuable to Heat! Look forward to his work in the near future!

Heat is hiring again!

Unfortunately this is coming at an awkward time, as the programmer we're replacing is quitting a month sooner than expected, leaving the feature that was planned (player avatar) for this month up in the air.

We still have Fred as our other programmer, but his VR is busted atm and he's fully dedicated to modding support at the moment, which should come in the next few months.

It's not the end of the world or anything, apart from getting me really stressed out. Just letting you guys know that the player avatar that I was hoping to get out this month might be replaced with other features as I pick up the programmer reigns and bring on a new hire.

This is a full-time remote contractor position. Some sort of Unity work experience or indie dev experience is required. The job is pretty chill and fun overall. You get to work on a diverse range of things and, of course, you get to work on a furry game, which is pretty cool.

Salary ranges from between 40-80k USD, depending on experience. Will consider more if you're a perfect fit.

Requirements:
-C# programming experience
-Unity 3d experience
-Understanding of Git
-A VR headset compatible with SteamVR (Most of them)
-A decent gaming PC

Nice-to-haves:
-Blender 3d animation experience
-Basic audio editing skills
-Understanding of Unity's physics
-Unity VR development experience
