I can appreciate where you're coming from with Jason. He's a bit too slick and very sure of himself but that's part of his charm. He does have the sarcastic wit to keep up with the ever lovely Lorelei so it's nice to see them banter back and forth. I hope he grows on you as a character. As far as your disdain for Richard's betrayal, I'm right there with you. I looked forward to this reaction because I knew you'd be outraged lol. Thanks for watching this show and sharing it with us, can't wait for the next episode.

Yeah I’m still open minded for Jason, I’m only having fun with it but don’t see the hype just get, but we shall see 🙌🏼and yeah Richard is an absolute bloody fool, unlike Jason, he’s actually fumbled BIG time the more I think about it too

I know right? He has a queen beside him and often overlooks her and her devotion, takes her for granted at the very least. Rewatching the show through your eyes has been really refreshing and entertaining but the absolute best part? Your response to Paris kissing Asher lol made my day.

I think Richard having lunch with pennelyn wouldn’t have been that bad if he was honest about it since I get wanting to not lose contact with someone you’ve known for so long but it’s the lying part that makes it really bad😅 this is the worst possible episode to say this but tbf he usually does hype emily up a lot and I actually think Emily and Richard is the best relationship on the show in many ways (again this episode is a horrible exempel haha Richard really messed up with this one). Also one you upload this on youtube you’ll probably have a lot of people hating Jason with you, I think he is a lot less popular than you think tbh haha

Literally! The fact it’s been for 40 years too! If he just went for dinner one time and slipped up fine, or wanted to have dinner with her and told Emily, fine, but 40 years and lying about it then being all ‘let’s not make this a bigger deal than it needs to be’…bro

Gonna break my 'don't talk about other shows thing' to ask you one thing! Are you watching Dr. Who's 60th? Have you seen the show or are you not into it at all? Now onto the episode. I love the Jason/Lorelai date. I liked that he wasn't put off by her not being into the private rich dinner, and that he not only indulged the supermarket date, but even got into it himself. Yes, Luke is 1. and always will be, but Jason is second for me! Emily had every right to be angry with Richard. Meeting your ex every year for like 40 years behind your wife's back is a huge NO NO. I believe him when he says it's just as friends, but him not telling her makes me think it was an emotional affair. BUT what she didn't have a right to do was turn on Lorelai, who was trying to support her there! And then adding on, "You weren't even supposed to come!" OUCH! Their relationship is one step forward, three steps back! Drives me crazy! Bless Luke, he wanted to cut the kid a break, but that kid was NOT a good fit at all! XD And yeah, Paris and the old guy. YUCK! Reminder, she is still with Jamie, so that's awesome. But even if she wasn't she is 18/19 years old and he is the same age as her best friend's GRANDFATHER! Geeked Out Nation's reaction to that had my crying with laughter, but yours is a damn close second! XD

Jason is definitely not my favourite but for the cringiness of this date I'm gonna have to blame Lorelai. Jason didn't know Lorelai well enough to know she'd hate the room, he just planned something special. She made him feel a bit bad about it so I kind of get him walking out since she clearly hated it. Him being comfortable with the supermarket date was great though. I always wondered if Lorelai got that poor employee fired for clocking in, sometimes I can't stand how entitled she actually is but always acts like she isn't. And Richard having lunch with his ex is possibly the worst thing he's done, not only was he not honest, but 39 years?! Emily has such difficulty expressing her emotions, she reminds me of my mother, she'd rather say something truly hurtful or blame someone else for what happened than show that she's hurt or say what she's really feeling. Emily is one of my favorite characters and they're my favorite couple but she needs therapy lol
