The ”now that I have you I don’t have to put any effort in” is not it, and I don’t even want dean and rory to be together again but I think he has a right to mess with jess just for a little bit haha but I also think he actually wants to be friends with her still

Nah i'm with Jess on this one. Especially since he knows Dean's real intentions. He didn't blow up at Rory for hanging out with Dean again, he just asked for her to tell him. Which I think is totally fair.

I sided with Jess more when we saw Deans intentions so I agree, don't agree with Jess only agreeing to go with Rory to put Dean in his place, should be wanting to hang with her for fun

Honestly, I don’t believe Dean is trying to get Rory back at this point. I think he just has fun messing with Jess. And given all the crap Jess pulled between them in season 2 and the beginning of this season, I can’t really blame Dean for being a little snarky with him

It’s sad but it’s such a true real thing that people (especially young people) often do in relationships in real life and it’s shitty to stop trying when you finally get the relationship lol. I don’t hate Jess or anything but I like that they show realistic situations in this show.

We all know Dean would have blown up at her if it was reversed because he has done so in the past. Jess just wanted her to tell him which is totally understandable.

I’ll be honest, I like when Trix is around because she treats Emily how Emily treats Lorelai! Especially in the first season. She’s gotten better the last season and a half but early on she’d delight in ignoring Lorelai at dinner to focus solely on Rory, and now she’s getting a taste of her own medicine. While I don’t like Jess’s comment “I went to the town stuff to get you, now I have you I don’t need to go anymore!” It makes it seem like he views her as a game he won rather than as a girl he genuinely likes. I know he does like her before the Jess stans come for me, I’m just saying what it comes across as! I will say that Dean is being a bit scummy. I don’t know if he legit wants a friendship with Rory or if he’s just trying to get back at them both by sabotaging the relationship but it’s extra gross that he seems to be using his kid sister’s love for Rory to mess with Jess…. 🤮 Francie is a little snake. But what the hell are Louise and Madeline doing not standing with Rory and fighting against having the meeting? Some friends they are!

they are way too codependent , there aren’t any healthy parent/child relationship in this show except maybe Rory and Richard/Emily, sometimes..

Oh i totally agree. It’s I lost my mom when I was 15 and she was an addict from the time I was 11 so from my perspective even Emily and Lorelei make me jealous 😂 I found this show right after my mom died so R&L hold a special place in my heart

I don't understand people saying Rory and Jess are good together. At least not so far. They have good chemestry, definitly, but besides that he still hasn't done anything good so far in my opinion. Doesn't make the effort. He supposedly fell for Rory long time ago, but took forever to even try to make an effort with Lorelai for instance. And him not saying yes immediatly to go with Rory? Who cares if he thinks it's boring, it's obviously something Rory wants and it woulldnt hurt him to make an effort... So far he doesn't seem to be a good boyfriend-material - but hopefully that will change soon? And Rory! Of course I love Rory, but wow such a jerk move to meet with Dean behind Jess' back. I might not be a Jess fan but he doesn't deserve that. Maybe someone can be friends with their ex. But they have just broken up. She should at least check with Jess beforehand if he's comfortable with it. Communicate... I kinda think it's sweet that they want to be friends, I just don't like that she doesn't talk it through calmly with Jess first. (Halfway through the episode only, I'll watch the rest later. Just wanted to comment this, because I'm just not liking how they are as a couple so far)
