Izzie was in the wrong. Alex was right. Scott isn't her patient, she had no right being in that room never mind trying to talk him into the surgery. As for the mother, it irks me she cares more for her abuser than her child. Her kid is being asked something horrific. And she wants to guilt him into it. I'm team Alex/Christina. They are the only two who seem to care that this kid is agonizing over this. And Izzie was bang out of order to suggest he'd be a murderer if he didn't do it. Reminder, that organ donation is VOLUNTARY! NO ONE should ever be pressured into it! I'm just at the bit where they are all in the room and I am fuming. The mother asking when would the surgery happen, and Burke talking about it as though this kid who is clearly wrestling with himself over what to do, hasn't even made a decision. This is coercion. This conversation, the mom saying his name repeatedly....It's so fucked up. It's all over his face, he doesn't want to do it. He just doesn't want his mom to hate him for it, and going by her actions, she seems the type who would resent him for it. Ahhh! This is making me so mad!

I think Alex's turning points and most character development happens when he starts working with kids in later seasons he is great with kids.
