I didn’t watch it and I still understood what was going in PLL afterward and they barely even mention Ravenswood after season 4. Also season 5,6 and 7 do not have a Halloween episode but season does have a Christmas episode instead. The Halloween episode was a fan special.

Ravenswood failed because it is a supernatural show from non supernatural show PLL. It like creating a spin off of Shadowhunters but instead only focusing on the Mundanes with no magic in it.

Except that a story with Mundanes with no magic would make sense in the universe of the original show, whereas PLL is no supernatural show so supernatural elements feel completely out of place

Ravenswood was good in my opinion. It further grew Caleb as a character. It’s only 10 episodes and Hanna actually appears on an episode.
