I think people (including myself) like Bitchy Alison because she represents this meeting of conflicting emotions, and just mystery in general. When people die or disappear, we tend to grieve them and cover up their transgressions, and seeing Alison being such a horrible person just negates all of that. Furthermore, the fact that she's dead and we don't know who killed her suggests that she was killed because of how horrible she was -- in that way, every flashback can be seen as a clue. And, of course, she's no longer around, so we can't ask her why she was such a horrible person. And then there's Sasha Pieterse's performance. She plays bitchy *too* well. It's just a bunch of little intriguing bits that add up to people getting excited whenever Ali is on screen.

"Dammmmmmmmn." literally me when I saw Emily in that dress. Emily/Shay is so sexy, i love when she dresses up in the show. i can't wait till next episode! it was the episode that REALLY got me hooked onto the show and the few times i CRIED during an episode of pll. I can only think of two other times i cried during the show.
