Hey wassup!
Hope everything alright!

I just wanted to quickly hop in to share a small update on the video progress.
Remember that what you see here is WIP, so that means that none is final and can be subject to change.
With that in mind, please continue reading :)

I've kept making small progress but in a lot of different areas of this animation at the same time.

The video will take place in 2 main environments, the city plaza (or square) and a TV studio.
Why?
The idea was that the whole animation would be a news channel covering the "Incredibles Day" event (which I just come up with) to celebrate the superhero family.
This came with its own challenges of which building another scene in blender plus finding another character to act as a TV reporter.

As for the set I've decided to go for a "late night" show kind of set, with the skyline behind the reporter.
It's still to be finished, as it's not really polished for now, but it'll work out.

Now, for the reporter character, it was easy to find a model for someone like Violet Parr, but didn't really saw her fit in the role.
So I started searching for a Mirage model from the same movie, and it was quite hard.
Once I found it, I discovered that had only a nude form, and that doesn't really work for a TV reporter hehe....

So what to do?
I decided to try and do something I've never done before and try and arrange some kind of dress on her by myself, and ended up looking like this:

I tried...

I'm not sure about the dress pattern, but I'll see if I have time to work more on it, as well as the Mirage model herself. She looks kinda werid, but I think fits the role.

Ok then, that goes for the TV Studio. There's a lot to be done, but I'm happy I can finally have an overall base to start animating.

The TV you see on the right will be used to have a smooth transition between this scene and the one in the square.

As for that one, I'm progressing with texturing everything, and it's coming up pretty nicely IMO.
Take a look:

As you can see there's a lot to do still, but it's moing forward, and it seems I was able to finally find some balance in my life to keep a steady work without stressing too much.

At the same time I'm trying to lay down a script for VA obviously, as the TV reporter and the crowd will help the overall feel of the video :)

Now, I honestly can't say when this video will be 100% complete, I'm hoping before December, but as I work alone and challenges keep popping up it can be delayed.

Last thing before signing out, here are 2 WIP renders I made during my testings.
It's nothing amazing, but i don't want to keep you away from any form of content I can share so... here you go!
Please, remember that this is kinda garbage and everything in this folder may be deleated at some point, so take what you like with you if you really like a certain clip :)

Good to see you still working hard. I hope those challenges won’t be too rough and you overcome them! Keep up the honest work and wish you luck with irl stuff as well!

I said it once, and I'll say it again, you're really going all out for this sequence and I legitimately can't wait to see the final product! Once again, I really hope it ends with a massive KABOOM! ;)

I can't wait to finish it too. It's becoming a huge challenge ahaha For the end, I'm planning to go for both endings if I can make it so none would be disappointed :)
