Nicholas Montgomery smiles warmly,

"Welcome, members of the FabPharma board. Today, as scheduled, I am happy to present to you the newest candidates I have pre-selected for our next round of Nereidyl trials."

"Nereidyl, hmm?" a board member is overheard musing.

Nicholas' smile broadens, "Indeed! Our marketing team has finally landed upon a suitable name for the serum as we get nearer to refining it to the public and for our private contracts. I have already signed off on it, branding and promotional material is in the works," his eyes narrow slightly, turning towards the large screen featuring the camera feed of a vast, empty room. The girls stand facing the camera as prompted, with Sadie accompanying them with her usual worried expression clearly lining her face, "Now as I was saying..."

"Wait just a second here, Nicholas," an older council member interrupts, "While we realize these experiments are needed to finalize the refining of your project for widespread sale and use, I still must advise you to limit this next stage of your... trials... to a single candidate. Budgeting this project of yours is becoming a logistic and financial nightmare, and our government contracts are demanding feasible advancements this year if they are to continue our funding."

Nicholas' smile fades abruptly, "Well, it would appear our CFO continues his usual manner of correctly stating the obvious. Now, if you had allowed me to finish, you would have understood that just one of these two pre-selected candidates will be undergoing treatment," he smirks, "Now, which one, I wanted the board to decide."

The old man sits quietly, brow furrowed.

Nicholas grins, "No more remarks? Perfect. Let's get on with the briefing, shall we?"

"Our first candidate is Dani Thompson," he says, gesturing to the auburn haired girl, looking onwards into the camera expectantly, "She is one of FabPharma's own, from the IT department, no less. Our security team caught her actually trying to hack into the Nereidyl Project files, and further intel revealed she had some sort of righteous plan in exposing our conglomerate. The initial decision was to terminate her, but a while back I deemed it appropriate to give her a chance to redeem herself by willfully enlisting in the Nereidyl Project herself. As of now, she has been prepped over the past few months with diluted versions of the compound, which have fueled quite a change in her," he raises an eyebrow, "used to be around 100 lbs heavier than what you see here, completely out of shape. As you can imagine, this has definitely confirmed our intents to use specific Nereidyl strains in our cosmetics and aesthetics divisions."

Nicholas then gestures to the raven-haired, athletic girl, "Now, our second and final candidate is quite a curious one. Her name is Denise Resch, personal trainer by trade, and a kickboxing gold medalist to boot. She seems to have come to one of our satellite offices in search of further breast augmentation," he chuckles, "Our doctor reports she seemed rather intent on going as big as possible, his assessment details she seems to be making a somewhat impulsive decision on seeking this out after encountering a girl with much larger implants a few days ago. As usual, testing has already been done to make sure her body is suited for Nereidyl infusion, all tests show her to be an excellent candidate. Considering her athletic properties, some tests to measure her physical prowess could prove fruitful to further our research into our military contracts."

Montgomery finally turns back to face the board, "And that, ladies and gentlemen, are your choices. If you would be kind enough to fill out the forms that will be passed around with your vote, we will soon be underway to continuing our Nereidyl Project with the chosen..."

"What about the mousy one on the right?" A board member finally interjects.

Nicholas looks annoyed, "You mean my assistant, Sadie?" he laughs, "She's much too meek for these trials, believe me I've kept a close eye on her. Even having undergone extensive plastic surgery under my orders for past services rendered, I would highly doubt she'd be able to withstand these tests to a satisfactory degree..."

The board member seemed persistent, "She's FabPharma property at this point, is she not? Perhaps what we need is the lowest commmon denominator, so far all your subjects have been able to withstand treatment with more or less predictable results. I think if we want to fully market this to the public, we will eventually need to test this stuff on less than stellar subjects, just to make sure we don't kill off half of our consumers when we actually release this thing as a product."

After a few moments of silence, more and more board members begin chiming in agreement.

"He brings up a good point, besides if this is going to a vote, it's better to have more options," one remarks.

"You know what they say, three's a charm!" another quips.

"Fine, fine," Nicholas waves the heightening buzz of comments away, "I'll put my personal assistant on the proverbial chopping block as well, never say I don't make sacrifices for this company!" he laughs.
