PLEASE READ: We have COVID and can't work! (Patreon)

Hey, everyone. It's just like it says up top.

I found out this past Sunday after waking up feeling a little foggy, and took a COVID-19 test just for peace of mind. I had no expectation of seeing a positive result, yet here we are. My wife tested shortly after and came up negative, but I put on a mask for her sake just to be safe. After masking up inside all day Sunday and Monday, my wife began to complain of body aches and a sore throat. Once she started running a fever on Monday night, we knew it was time to take another test. She was also positive.

The last week has been a continued series of ordering delivery food and groceries, taking cough and headache meds, and waking up in the night to prolonged coughing fits. This thing is real, and it sucks. We did well to stay in the clear for the first two years of this pandemic, but once the mask mandate was lifted, it found its way to us at long last.

Regrettably, I must come to you all for help once again. Because of our positive results, neither of us are able to work, and we've already missed a week of pay. I'm still experiencing symptoms and won't be able to return to work until they've cleared. I have one more full paycheck coming in before the month is over, so we should be able to make rent, but we're in trouble once July gets going.

Times are tough these days, and while that's the understatement of the century, it's the truth. I've been using this time to rest up and recover, but I intend to do what I can to get more art done in this time off I've unexpectedly got. I need to launch the epilogue, and start on my next commission! Here's hoping I can muster up the strength to do both!
