Mamabito: Memories of Arcadia - Pg.9 WIP+TEXT (Patreon)

Hey, Patreon! I've opted to take a short break from the Bathtime Mamabito piece so I could get back to work on the Memories of Arcadia comic! I've barely touched it all week!! I'm happy to report that it's finally coming along!!

Hoo boy, we got a lot goin' on in terms of production on this page! As you can see, the line art isn't quite finished yet, but it's getting there! You might also recognize a few of these drawings... Several of these panels were drawn a full two months ago!! You can tell I was anticipating this part of the story for quite some time!

This is also why one panel features Mamabito in full color... This was actually her color test! I wanted to be sure I could render the flowers on her outfit and give her eyes and nose that distinct "colored shapes" look that separate them from the rest of her standard line art, so I drew this before production on the comic officially started. Since it's so old, I'm tempted to go in and retouch and even redraw it, even though my wife insists that I don't alter it at all... I'll have to adjust the colors all the same! This is a nighttime scene, so the bright colors just won't work anymore!!
