The second movie is OKAY (a lot of people think it's bad though) but the anime on Netflix SLAPS! I'd recommend the anime and would be indifferent if you watched the second movie or not

I liked the 2nd movie, but, yes, the anime is great, only 2 seasons and I don't think I finished the 2nd because I couldn't remember the first and wanted to rewatch it before I watched the 2nd, which I forgot to do which is the sotry of my life.

Whoah! sweet movie! The first one is great because it depicts them to be so big you can almost see the atmosphere they're so tall and also they move slow like leviathans!
