Basically imagine you living in way bigger Hawaii, having no idea what is outside Hawaii that's the world of HxH they live in, and outside things like Chimera Ants are common, and they not even the biggest threat, there are many atrocious things, many top tier hunters tried to explore outside world only couple live to comeback, that's the blue bolling we are left with on anime, there is manga content for many 10 ep's right now, i doubt we will get it faster than year-two assuming manga will be constantly produced. I wish for continuation of long series especially Bleach, i would even prefer you guys choose it without poll. About long arcs without much going on, in One Piece Dressrosa arc have 118 episodes, and i was sure it was near the end about 50-60 eps in, and it was going on and on, so trust me HxH have probably one of the best pacing compared to all other big series. For me 1. HxH 2. One Piece 3. Bleach/Naruto, they are still all great series, One Piece world building and Characters are top tier, pacing is lacking. Bleach and Naruto have definitely the best fights and music out of all those series also some great characters, but rest is lacking.

To clear up the Gotoh thing, Gotoh definitely did die. To spare Killua and Alluka the pain of knowing he died for their sake, Canary/Tsubone/etc. employed one of the Kiriko magical creatures to fake being Gotoh. Killua probably can't recognize them like Gon.

So we are on the same boat now, waiting for ten manga chapters every 3-4 years. We properly won’t even see the end of dark contatint arc because we should enjoy the little detours!🤣

The author is ging himself, which is super lazy but also very talented and brilliant. He use 10 years to finish ant arc that is why it feel slow pace sometimes. Edit: people hate and love ging at the same time. Just like the author

Will you do a manga reaction/review on hunter? Because I think this series properly won't get another animation for at least 5-10 years. (you can watch the legendary fight between Hisoka & Chrollo in the manga)

Osvaldo

I doubt Yu Yu Hakusho wins a poll so I recommend watching it on your own. Same creator as HxH and it has the best English dub of all time.

Osvaldo

The stuff that happens after the anime ends is really fucking good. I just hope it gets animated one day and with most of the same cast(RIP Leorio’s VA)

Hey Dos Cavazos just want to say I got hooked on your FMAB reactions a little while ago so I decided to hop onto your patreon and I was so happy to see you guys were reacting to HxH as well. Glad I could be here to see you guys finish up such an amazing anime. I really enjoy your guys reactions and discussions and I look forward to watching many more ✌🏻🤘🏻💓

lol I was about to comment about the same thing and then I saw your comment. You explained it better then I would've lol 👍 I remember the first time I watched the series I had the same reaction of "wtf"

I would highly recommend reading the manga and picking up where the show leaves off. I remember when I first finished the series I thought, I'll just wait till more of the anime comes out because clearly they can tell more stories. That was several years ago now, hoping for the anime to continue. Then I finally broke down and started to read the manga and I can't recommend it enough. Maybe one day the anime might continue but seeing as how that the creator is notoriously known for taking LONG breaks in writing, IMO just go for the manga. It's really good and takes the world of HxH to a much bigger place. Sorry for the long post ✌🏻

I totally agree about the Greed Island Arc. Personally I've always found it to be a bit of a drag on the series. I really enjoy the dodge ball game but the overall story and Mad Bomber villain I find really lacking. Especially following the York City arc. Often when I re-watch the series I'll just skip the greed island arc after York City and go straight into the Ant Arc, except for the dodgeball game lol 🙂

Colton Piper

I think about the outside as Australia. Aka it looks like everything wants and can kill you hahaha.

Colton Piper

I feel like the Greed Island Arc was written to accomplish two things. The first is a training arc. The second is to show how much shit you can do with Nen. The dodgeball game I always think of as being the conclusion to that arc, but then I remember that there are still a couple of episodes dealing with the bomber that I don't care about lol.

DarkAshtar

They rushed through Greed Island, if you have a chance check out 1999 Greed Island run. it's a bit better in the 1999 anime.

DarkAshtar

Since everyone else has pointed out how slow of a writer Togashi is it might be 10 years before we see the Dark Continent arc, I do wanna point out the shop clerk who was reading a magazine had Migi from Parasyte: The Maxim on the cover.

slipHAZARD

@Colton I agree with ya. I would never recommend skipping Greed on your first watch, because it is very much as you said a "training arc" and it sets up for some cool moments later on. However I honestly I feel like if you removed the whole aspect of the the training cards and card game play out of the arc and made it more grounded, it would fit so much better wth the other arcs. The only reason why I bring it up is because I LOVE HxH and I want to consider it a perfect anime, but every time I do the greed island arc creeps up lol

slipHAZARD

I had watched HxH several times before I watched Parasyte and when I finally watched it when I first saw Migi I was like "Oh shizz that's from Hunter" lol
