My $174 ryzen 5 3600 probably isn't going to survive the ryzen 5000 series. 5600x sure looks impressive at $299. Sure would like to see an 8 core part like 5700x come in at $350 US.

I find the 5800x to be a fair and balanced review, but in regards to the 5800x vs the Intel I-10700k, you forgot to figure in platform costs as well. The value/cost difference begins to fade when you figure in motherboard costs. Your spot on in regards to pricing, but last year when the 3000 series were released the same thing could be said, and then around Christmas time the 3800x went on sale multiple places for a mere $10.00 more than the 3700x, which changed everything.
