Akira Toriyama has passed away, and no words can do justice to neither my feelings about it, my admiration for his art, or the impact his work had on the world.

As the official announcement said, he was still in the middle of enthusiastically creating new stories just before his demise. That fact is just devastating to me.

When drawing, I often remember and consider the many lessons I learned from reading his manga, so clear and precise on its storytelling, charming, funny, action-packed and dynamic. Even though I'm a hentai illustrator, there's a sort of universal wisdom about Art, work and life, which can certainly be appreciated and practiced.

Not only changed the world with Dragon Ball, but also influenced everything so much with Chrono Trigger, Dragon Quest, Dr. Slump, and many other projects he worked on. What a prolific genius, and what a profound loss for manga and comics worldwide.

From my humble position as a grain of sand, I wish eternal peace to this bright Star.

Farewell Toriyama Sensei, thank you for everything
