Hello all. Here is an update about the next release of the GUI for Stable Diffusion.

There was a good chance that the build would be complete yesterday, but my computer felt like it was a good time to freeze and broke down.

I took some time messing with it and there is a pretty good chance that the Ram slots are dirty, so today I got some stuff to clean it at the end of the day. If the computer start working again after the clean, the build will probably be ready today. Otherwise, gonna need to find a friend to compile the build for me.

In the meantime I keep working on the code in a slower computer, there is no graphic card on this one, but its enough to clean the code and improve the stuff non related to the model.

For those that read my post about my broken motherboard:
The place I bought is replacing it for a new one, so very soon I can work from my new rig with a 3080. This should help a lot the development of the GUI and the other project.

Along with Rife-App/Stable Diffusion GUI, I'm also working on a Upscaler to see if I can manage to add it later on to the Rife-APP and Stable Diffusion.

Once some of that stuff is ready, I need to get back the the manga coloring model. I'm getting close to need a GPU farm lol

Farm it all! #farmville

Good luck with the build. They're always finicky.

Take your time, there is no rush. Sorry about your computer, hope you find the malfunctioning piece. If you don't have any more compatible hardware laying around to test piece by piece (replace 1 by 1 the memory, graphics card, ssd, motherboard etc), then find a computer repair shop.

The second slot is always giving trouble, the first one almost always work. I got two ram memories from my brother. They worked perfectly for two days and now is giving the same errors, so it's probably something to do with the slots. Hope cleaning it will fix it.

Take your time, a clean release is better than a rushed release! :) Also, have you seen this? https://github.com/lkwq007/stablediffusion-infinity

A quick and easy way to find out who is faulty (the motherboard or the ram) is to take 2 sticks of RAM whick you know they are 100% functioning, from another computer, and test it in yours. If they don't work, then the motherboard/motherboard slot(s) are faulty. To try to make your computer functional again with only your existing sticks of ram, start with only 1 stick of ram in A2 slot/position on the motherboard, if it's not working then move the ram stick to slot A1(see image here: https://linustechtips.com/topic/1309411-ram-in-a2b1dual-channel/) and then if it works put the second piece of ram in the other slots till you find one that finnaly is okay.

Oh yeah, outpainting is really cool. The hardest part is the dynamic GUI, but it will appear here in the future.

Yeah, I did do some of those tests, with the borrowed ram it worked for a few days. Slot 1 usually work, but it freeze the system if a lot of the memory is required. The computer turn on with a single ram memory, but it freeze if I try to the GUI

Honestly I'll be more worried about when SD 1.5 is released than this delay, I had an old mac I had to clean the ram on a few times, I feel for ya, sucks when you get a failed boot. Here's to hoping you don't need a mobo! Still having an amazing time with using the current version btw.

I would say 95% the motherboard is faulty, better sent it to warranty. Yeah, I know it sucks to not be able to use your work pc for some time. But you can (unethically, but not illegal) buy and use a new motherboard while your old one is in service, and then after you get it back repaired, you can simply return the new one and also get your money back.

0.5 should work with a drag and drop once 1.5 is released (hopeful) If by any crazy chance I can't release 0.5 until then, gonna make someway to add the 1.5 files to the current build.

My new rig is already being posted, with pretty much everything new, this old just just need to keep working for one more week (more or less). Don't die on me now motherboard t.t

How does Emad's announcement today of the new clip models affect things btw? I don't get where or when that plays in. Just a note for future tech developments or does it play right into SD 1.5?

Thanks for your work ! I want to ask (because I didn't read nothing about it) if the problems with seeds will be solved. When I create a batch of 10 images (or I click several times to render) the txt generated with the picture show an incorrect seed number. Some times I get a very good images and want to modify a little the prompt or play with CFG and then I find there is an incorrect seed number but it is imposible to replicate this image

Anonymous

The seed is for the first of the samples. If you use the original prompt with the same number of samples, you can run the series again with more steps, higher cog, etc. it is not ideal, but the random generation for samples is consistent between runs. The easiest solution is to duplicate your prompt and keep samples at 1. With samples set to one, the random record in the info file is correct.

Had a similar issue with ram and mobo from 2016. It was a slight incompatability, even thoughvthey were whitelisted. An update to the mobo's firmware did the trick.

A quick side note to hardware issues, freezing machines are almost always a disk issue, backup your data 😅. RAM faults are crash to bios post and restart.
