Okay, first I went back and reread the first few chapters. And now they make a lot more sense. :-) Saving the heist for the next round.

Day Dreamer

Finally read and enjoyed the latest two heist chapters. Of course now I need to read and enjoy them again, to really follow the action. You write incredibly layered, nuanced, and intricate fiction, often telegraphing without spelling out every detail either. When you can follow it though, it's fun, like understanding from the context what happened to the suitcase thrown into the ditch. -- I've also been going back and rereading earlier parts of the story with a lot more understanding and pleasure now, like where did the coin come from, and who were these people in the beginning, etc. -- Their split personalities and multiple names, illegal activities, etc, make sense in a world where they change their bodies regularly. No documentation presumably. I love a lot of their banter back and forth. -- I do find myself concerned about what if the coin is lost or stolen? Why are they so casual about handling it? But of course the story would come to a screeching stop if anything happened to it, unlike Altered Fates and the Medallion of Zulo for example, where people ending up stuck in new lives is a core aspect of the genre.

it's a really rough balance to strike but I'm glad I'm striking it. And that's a very good question, what _would_ happen if it was lost? :3
