Zebras are NOT nice. They are assholes of the animal kingdom. One zebra was gored at a Dublin Zoo many years ago because the zebras were picking on a rhino by biting her ass. A friend of mine used to work at a local zoo and heard similar stories of zebras being complete dicks.

Zebras are very much wild animals and can't be domesticated. Even if you have a hybrid animal where other equines have been bred with a zebra, such as a zorse or a zonkey, they still tend to be pretty rebellious creatures that don't take kindly to human's BS.
