Because we literally finished this cut. We have been crunching hard on this one to have it on time!
Ok, some quick comment: at least one of you commented on not being too fond on the glitch transitions, and this is something I am keeping in mind as I adjust the format (I am mainly balancing the audio effects at the moments) but I wanted to give some context for the changes.
After a careful study of analytics I noticed that an alarming number of people skip the video ahead (or abandon the video) any time I show the files or the desktop. However, no one skips ahead when showing comparisons or in game footage.
So, that lead to the question: How to convey what was being tweaked without going out-of-game? Joe came with the idea of using this glitch transitions to represent the process of "lowspecking" something and provide an interesting looking visual analogy that keeps the footage in-game. It is early to tell but the data looks like this is working.
