There is an actual back story to this video! When this game out last year I bought it and immediately jumped intro trying to find tweaks for the VOID engine based on what I have read.

Days of experimentation led to absolutely nothing, and I was forced to shelf this.

Recently I had the opportunity to go to Gamescom and get some hand on Dishonored: Death of the Outsider... and I really, really liked it. When I get home I thought that if I could find anything for Dishonored 2 there might be a good probability it might work for the next one as well.

That is when I discovered the VOID engine is based in idTech 5, while I had assumed it was based on idTech 6. I had been experimenting with the wrong set of commands.

So I discovered a couple of small, but useful things.

FPS boosting tweaks for Dishonored 2 in a low end computer

Dishonored 2 can be a bit of a performance disaster on any gaming PC, budget, laptop or low end. Here are a couple of tweaks to disable some extra effects to make it a bit better.
