Hello everyone!

It's December! Or... Decemberrrr, like, you know, brr I'm cold. Is this a terrible pun? Yes! Do I regret making it? Absolutely! Am I going to stop making a dumb pun like this every month in 2024? No, absolutely not, the puns will go on and there is absolutely nothing that you or I can do to stop them at this point, sorry.

Anyway! It's the last month. The end of 2023! The final countdown or whatever you want to call it. In just a few weeks we'll be entering a whole new year. I've said this ever single year since entering adulthood I think, but, pretty crazy how quickly this one has gone.

So! What am I going to be focusing on in this, the last month of the year? Well, that's what this post is about, so... let's get into it!

Or, maybe not right into it. This is usually the last section in my what's coming up posts, but, for the sake of context since it kinda influences this month a lot, I want to start the post off with this instead of leaving it for last.

So, going to cut to the chase: around the end of October, I suddenly found it very hard to acquire my ADHD medication. I went to grab my refill only to be told that the pharmacy didn't have it, that there was, apparently, a national shortage of the stuff. Why is there a national shortage? To be honest I'm not entirely sure, I've read a lot of different reasons and conspired to a lot of theories, but here is the most likely explanation that I have found.

During the pandemic - like, years ago now - there was apparently issues with the production of Adderall which meant that doctors prescribed everyone with the Adderall alternative that I was prescribed with when I was first diagnosed with ADHD earlier this year. Now there is a shortage of my Adderall alternative because of this, I guess? So they're having problems refilling my medication, so... I haven't actually taken my ADHD medication since the beginning of November, because, hey, I've been all out of since then!

This is not as awful as it might sound, so, don't worry. There haven't been any crazy withdrawal symptoms or anything that has made me completely dysfunctional. I haven't been craving my meds or crawling up the wall or laying in bed sweating and heaving or anything. However, because of the nature of ADHD - because my brain just concentrates and focuses better when it's medicated properly - I have been having a lot of issues motivating myself and focusing on what I need to focus on when it comes to writing, programming, and all of that other stuff that I do. This has left me very scatterbrained.

When will this medication issue be alleviated? When will it be back in stock, when will there not be a shortage? Not sure. Really wish I could tell you! Hopefully not long. At the very least I will be able to see my doctor this month (they were on vacation) so I can hopefully get onto something else in the meantime that'll do the trick until all of this big pharma shit is sorted out.

Anyway! November was supposed to be about getting caught up with things - as in, clearing my slate of commissions, mostly - but because I was an unmedicated spacehead with nowhere near as much motivation as I am used to, I didn't get nearly as much done as I wanted to, even if I did manage to get quite a lot done.

For this reason, I will also be spending the vast majority of December focusing mostly on commission work or story writing or whatever the heck you wanna call it. If I do this, then, even without my medication, I'll be able to get everything done and achieve my goals for the year, which will be nice! I hope that everyone understands this decision and isn't too disappointed by it.

This doesn't mean that there won't be a preview build of A Tiny Furry In A Huge World Plus at the end of the month. There will definitely be one of those... I am just going to be tackling a specific section of the game that will be easier for me to work on while I am working on other stuff. This doesn't mean a small update either - I actually plan on it being fairly substantial, just not in the usual big update way. More on this in the section dedicated to it which'll be coming up in just a couple of paragraphs.

How am I doing other than that? I'm okay! Really am, honestly. I feel like I've gotten a lot done this year. Stories and all the words and everything else aside, I managed to learn an entirely new engine to the point where I was able to make a sellable game with it. That's pretty cool, and I am pretty proud of myself, even if the end of the year is going slower than I'd like it to!

Sorry for this setback, and, thanks to everyone for your patience. I ummed and arred over whether to write this section in the first place, but I figured that you all deserved full context, or, at least, as much context as I am capable of providing given that I don't know entirely what's going on with my medication or why, just that I can't get it, which sucks.

This section has gone on for much longer than it usually does, so, let's leave it at that and move on to the actual content that I'm doing this month.

This month on A Tiny Furry In A Huge World Plus, I will mostly be almost entirely focusing on getting Aimee Mode finished, or, as close to finished as possible. Since I have the entirety of this mode planned (and some of it even wrote up) this should be more than achievable even if I am mostly tidying up my queue!

If you aren't familiar with Aimee Mode, it came about as the result of a bonus poll a few months back. Aimee won one of the bonus polls - she usually does win one every update cycle - and since she had so much bonus content already I decided to make a playable section of the game where you, well, play as her.

Since she's full size (and she's Aimee) this means that this chunk of the game will be told from a predator perspective. In it, you're going to be hunting down a few stray micros that have gotten shrunk around the college. While doing so, you'll be able to talk to well-known (and some not well-known) members of the game's cast at full size and have proper conversations with 'em other than 'help I'm small!', since you're, you know, not a shrunk person.

As expected, you'll be able to eat said micros (or step on them, or put them in other places) but you'll also be able to spare them. This will lead to alternate endings. There will probably be three of them - one for eating them all, one for eating one or two, and one for sparing them all. If you're into the bits of lore that I've sprinkled through the game over the years then these endings will all probably be very interesting and will contain a fair bit of foreshadowing for things to come.

It's not all wrote up yet and I'll probably end up writing a little more than planned, but all in all, with all of the multiple routes and scenes and such that'll be available, I'd say that this section of the game will last about an hour, maybe a little less, maybe a little more, depending on how quickly you read and how much you want to read.

This will be the majority of what I'm doing to the game this month. I'll also be writing Ms. Matthews' bonus ending all going well and also getting Gabriel and Sophia's endings into their proper places in the college. I won't be doing any prey-perspective stuff other than that this month, though, because like last month, I am mostly going to be trying to focus on...

Like I said in the mental health section, this will be my biggest focus this month.

I have two big commissions left on the docket for this year, as well as one kinda big but much smaller one. I also have a holiday-themed story that I'm planning on writing, but... that'll be the smallest of the lot.

To stir anticipation (and let everyone know what kinda juicy stuff is coming up) I am going to drop a couple of teases as to what the stories coming this month will be about!

One will be a story set in the not-so-distant future which will be about a synthetic dragon named Emmy. Emmy was created by a company called Ragnarok to serve as something of a security guard for their headquarters. They get a lot of intruders, and Emmy is designed to 'capture' them by, well... shrinking them and containing them inside of her. Not just orally, but... in lots of other not-so-conventional ways too! This story will (mostly) focus on a diagnostic that Emmy has shortly after stuffing someone inside of herself, and will have lots of fun synthy vore stuff in it. I've been very excited writing/planning this one because I haven't really done a synth before and they're very interesting to me.

The next will be a sequel to Fox Love Pizza, which was a story I wrote a while back where Kyobi is a part-time delivery driver for some poor guy's pizza business. I don't wanna spoil too much since this is a sequel story, but it will contain some oral vore, soul vore and food transformation and maybe a couple of other things, who knows? Well, me... so, yeah, it'll have a couple of other kinks in it.

The third, final, and shortest story (save for the brief holiday special) will be about some poor micro getting trapped in Kyobi's shoe while she goes on a long, long hike. This means unaware shoe entrapment (or, unaware until it isn't). There will also be lots of getting crushed to bits and it'll probably be quite messy and nasty, so... this is really one for the crush fans out there.

I will be doing my very best to get all three of these done before the end of the month. If one of these ends up bleeding into January then that's fine I guess, but... nope! Nope! I'm not talking like that. Medication be damned, these are all getting done this month. I will go into 2024 with a clear slate. Mark my fucking words!

Actually don't mark them... that'll be too much pressure. Uh... next section?

This month there will not be a bonus scene poll, but there will be a poll for a brand new character that will appear a bit in v1.3 but mostly she will appear in v1.4. Specifically, a female character. There will be a male character that goes in alongside her too, but I kinda have the details of him figured out already.

That's all I can say for now, because she's kind of mysterious. If you've already played last month's update then you've met her already... sort of... and you might just know who I'm talking about. I'm going to stop talking now because I'm saying too much!

Polls and other things? Yes, other things! I also plan on doing a game dev log this month since people seemed to like it last month! I am not sure what I will talk about in it but there's honestly lots to talk about so I'm sure it won't be that difficult.

That's it!

The last 'beginning of the month' post for this year. 2023 has been pretty great for me. I've made a lot of stuff! But I wouldn't have been able to do any of it without you.

I'll probably say a little more on this closer to the end of the year, but I want to say thank you to everyone in my community - new and old - for being here with me in 2023. I wouldn't have been able to do any of this stuff without you guys. Thank you for keeping the lights on, thank you for enabling me to create content, and thank you for helping me live the best version of my life. I am truly grateful for every day I get to do this. The last four years have been like living in a dream.

I'll be back soon with things and stuff and yes. Happy hooray December, and I'll see you later in the week!

Thanks for the update, I love reading these monthly newsletters. Personal stuff and business plans alike. Very hyped for Aimee mode!

Nice post! And heck, I hope that shortage gets sorted soon, or the dog got something that works just as well x.x Till then, hang in there, okay! And can agree with the others. I'm super hyped for Aimee mode and the commissions just as well. They sound super fun. Aimee mode is gonna be like a second Hazel game. Especially love the aspect of having a pred view cause it shows that you're nothing special. You're just one of many ~
