Hello everyone!

Today's the day. The Hungry House is now complete. Or, at least, complete for now... at some point in the future I'd like to update it with some more content, but that'll probably be next Halloween or something, who knows?

If you're not familiar with The Hungry House, then here's a quick skinny before I get into the final change log!

The Hungry House is a text adventure/horror/vore game. It's the kinda horror that focuses on being creepy and weird more than jumpscares and all that lark, so it's a somewhat relaxed experience. You don't have to worry about being chased by any monsters.

I am not entirely sure how many words of content there are, but there are at least 80,000 words, probably a bit more, maybe a tiny bit less! Within those 80,000 words of content (as well as a bunch of rooms and story scenes and stuff) there are fifteen vore scenes. These cover oral vore, unbirth, anal vore, cock vore, and soul vore. There are two predators, one male and one female, but the vast majority of content is with the female. She's kind of the star of the show.

This game is a huge upgrade in terms of visual, audio, and in many other ways to A Tiny Furry In A Huge World. This is one part Game Maker - the brand new engine that the game is running in - and another part CuttleScuttle, the audio wizard who provided every single vore loop in the game and a vast majority of the other sounds.

The game - at least in my opinion - is best played without having too much spoiled, so, go ahead and download!

Alright... change log time. I am going to be a little vague during the changes because like I just said a few paragraphs ago, game is best when it's a surprise.

CHANGE LOG

IF YOU HAVE PLAYED THE GAME BEFORE, your save data will now be lost. It's okay, though... there's new stuff to see anyways.

NEW VORE SCENES

A bunch of new scenes have been added to the game. I won't tell you how to get to them in the changelog, but I have attached a guide to this post that tells you how to get to them if you're stuck.

- First up is the paw worship scene. This is a pretty fabulous scene that involves shrinking and a paw stomp animation if you can believe that.

- Three soul vore scenes have been added to the game. These are pretty unique and interesting scenes that are unlike anything I've wrote before, in part because they're all in first person. These scenes stand by themselves, but they kind of tell a story together.

- An additional (and sorta secret) vore scene has been added to Beck's route.

- Two of Hart's scenes (anal vore and paw worship) have been ported over from A Tiny Furry On A Huge Quest, including the audio that they had in that game. Given that the main predator in this game is Hart, it felt very appropriate to put them in there.

NEW ANIMATIONS

A bunch of new animations have been scattered around the game - not just the aforementioned paw stomp thing.

I don't want to go into too much detail (spoilers) but these were made with the aid of Blender. They are amateurish (because I am a complete amateur, but, learning!) but I am extremely proud of them regardless. I really wish that I delved into Blender animation at the start of the project rather than the end because it would have transformed the game a lot, but I also kind of enjoy that the impressive animations are kinda hidden in weird parts of the game also.

Anyway! You'll know them when you see them, and you can expect a fair bit more of them in the future because shit, they're cool.

ACHIEVEMENT ICONS

Achievement icons have been added to the main menu. You get one when you finish the game on the main route, another when you beat it on Beck's route, and the last one when you visit the fox.

Sounds pretty mundane, right? Well, I promise you, they're a little more interesting than just icons. Try clicking on them a bunch. Strange things will happen...

... or check the guide. I explain it more there.

NEW RANDOM EVENTS

A bunch of random events have been added to the game. There are two sets - a set which can happen when you boot the game up, and another that triggers whenever you're exploring around either of the houses. There are about twenty of them in total.

To avoid repetition, none of these random events will play twice - so, every time one pops up, you'll see something brand new. The best way to experience the in-game ones is to just hop between one room and the next. The ones that pop up on boot up... well, you'll just have to close and reopen the game a bunch I guess.

They're all lore-related rather than vore-related (didn't want to jump anyone with a kink they don't like) but they are extremely neat.

OTHER STUFF

Beck's route was given some additional objects (including some journals you can read) as well as an (optional) puzzle that leads to a scene. This all makes the story and the reveal here a little more clear.

A bunch of notes have been scattered around the two houses. Like the journals, you can read them!

Some scenes got shuffled around, modified, and otherwise changed.

Some audio was stuck on mono. It is now correctly stereo.

A note: I said there would be animated vore backgrounds. In the end, I wasn't able to do them quite how I wanted and they just ended up looking worse than the still ones. I mussed around with it for a few days and didn't really get anywhere, so I made the decision to pull back on it and just focus on writing a bunch of new content and doing animations that I could actually do instead. To me, this paid off better than animated vore backgrounds. When you play the game I think you'll agree.

I do want to do animated vore backgrounds in the future - I am getting there - but it will be more of a next project thing than a The Hungry House thing. At least, for right now...

I'm forgetting stuff, I'm sure I am... I'm very sleepy.

That's it!

The game is available to download from Google Drive at the links below. Why Google Drive? Because the file size is now 300MB and that's a little too spicy for Patreon to handle apparently.

NOTE: When running the game on PC or installing it on your phone, the game may get false-flagged as a suspicious file. The game isn't suspicious, it's just that it is a seldom-ran program (since it hasn't been played by anyone but me yet) and it will take a bit before this clears up.

Alternatively, this might not happen at all - it doesn't happen on my end - but, you know, just in case.

I am extremely proud of what I've accomplished with The Hungry House. Next month I will be doing a full break down on it's development at some point because there are definitely some fun facts and stuff that I want to talk about. Overall, though, it's been a journey. I've grown a lot as an amateur programmer in this games creation, and it really shows I think.

I hope you enjoy The Hungry House!

Me? I'm gonna ascend into the next dimension... as in, sleep, because I've been up all night and I'm extremely tired. I'll be back soon, though... I always come back.

EDIT: Hello! I have slept now. 99% of reports that I've had tell me that the game works perfectly, but I have had one person who reported an issue or two because their save data from an old version was lingering for... some reason.

It is probably worth your time before playing to head into the folder where the sava data is kept (in my case, it's C:\Users\kyobi\AppData\Local\HungryHouse - in your case, it'll be whatever your username is instead of kyobi) and just kinda purge the few small data files in there. You won't need to redownload the game afterward or anything.

If you are having problems currently (you really, really shouldn't be) then head into that folder and also delete that stuff. This will delete your save data, though, so... yup!

It could also be possible that overzealous anti-pirate software is deleting the save file as it's created. Which would be wild (it's literally just a text file that holds a bunch of saved variables so why that would get detected as 'fishy' is anyone's guess) I am no expert on anti-virus software, but if your anti-virus software is doing this then I recommend trying out different anti virus software. Or just use Windows Defender because Windows Defender is marvelous these days.

Let me know if there are any problems in the comments. Thanks!

Happy playing!

Looking forward to going through this bit by bit over the next few days :3

Gosh, it's totally amazing as always! And you're right, it's a HUGE leap in terms of visuals. Nice! I had to whitelist it cause my antivirus was making a fuss, but after that it worked fine~

Audy

Finally got around to play this masterpiece. I have to say that I am totally amazed. I basically spent like 5 hours in a row trying to find out every single piece of text and trying to connect all the dots and answer the questions. Your writing and narrative skills are truly exceptional. To make a spiritual experience out of a niche fetish game is one hell of an undertaking. Perhaps It is just wishful overthinking on my part, but the mythological/archetypal/philosphical/biblical/etc. lore that I found in there is such a nice touch. I drew some very interesting hypotheses throughout all this. I wonder whether there was a bit of an intentional hidden 4th wall breaking at the second soul vore :D. This evil horror soulvore genre definitely pushes all my buttons. It feels as if you even connected a lot of stuff from your other stories. And not to forget, the sounds and background music are amazing along with the animations. Those are truly next level. It really made the game come alive. Thank you for this great experience Kyobi!
