Gym Area - New Student Character Disposition/Personality Poll (Patreon)

Hi everyone!

Wow! This week has been kind of a rush. Even if things have been quiet on here, I've been working on and writing so many things that the days just kinda flew by! It's been a real productive week in a lot of ways.

Enough about that, though! Let's talk about this poll.

Cheetah won the poll! It was pretty decisive, but I can also see that there was a clear interest in the other species options. I'll keep this in mind for the future - especially when it comes to birds and equines. I really want some kind of avian in the game somewhere and, y'know, horse.

Anyway! So we have a female Cheetah. I have decided to call her Annabelle, or, Anna for short. In this poll, we will decide her general personality, or, her disposition, or... whatever you want to call it.

Annabelle comes from a long line of incredibly successful athletes. Her parents and her family in general are fairly rich and influential in the game's world. This applies to all of these options. I thought it might make for an interesting character dynamic - she's kind of like a local celebrity, someone that people gossip about. Why do her parents live in a bum country town like Graceview? One, because it's quiet - no paparazzi pestering either her or her parents - and, two, it's one of her parents hometowns.

With this basic background in mind, I came up with three personality types for Annabelle. See 'em below!

Track Star

Annabelle is the track star and she's proud of it. The quickest person in the whole school, heck, the entire area, to the point where most people reckon that she's going to be competing in international tournaments after she graduates. Running is her specialty, her identity, what gets her out of bed in the morning.

Is she good at anything else, though? Not really, but you won't catch her feeling insecure about that. Sure, she might suck at math and not be the best reader on the planet, but... who needs either of those things when you're as fast as a bolt of lightning? Put it this way, she's arrogant and thinks that she's the best thing on the planet even if she doesn't get algebra.

The college assigned her a coach because she's a star student... at least when it comes to track. Does she need a coach? Not at all, but the college is going to give her everything they can - her name is probably gonna be in the papers one day, after all.

Pick this option if you want an arrogant and cocksure cheetah that doesn't take shit from anyone. Kind of a boss bitch, or... well, just a bitch, depending on how you look at it.

Swift But Unsure

Annabelle is the track star, but... she's not so proud of it. Sure, she's the fastest person in the school, sure, she sets lap records all the time, sure, she's talented and swift and being eyed for international competitions, but...

... even if she's good at it - amazing, even - running isn't exactly her biggest passion. In fact, she's not even sure what her biggest passion is... mostly because she's never really been allowed to spend much time on anything else other than running. Her parents are kind of... or, really, very... controlling. They were track stars - famous ones - so their daughter is going to be the same, and they obviously know what's best for her. They're forcing a dream on her that she doesn't really want, basically.

Her parents insisted that she was assigned a coach since they could kinda tell that she was hesitant about the whole thing. The college was more than happy to accommodate them... or, really felt forced to... because said parents are famous.

Pick this option if you want a more insecure and friendly cheetah. Still fast, still swift, but... not so full of herself.

Total Rebel

Annabelle is not the track star. She is not the fastest person in school. She has never set a single lap record. Sure, she's talented at running and swift as hell like any other cheetah, but... the girl doesn't try at all... much to her parent's annoyance.

Why, though? Because she doesn't want to run. She doesn't want to be a track star like her parents were. She doesn't want to spend all day getting sweaty on the track. She'd rather just goof off. Her parents have enough money from being athletes that she'll never need to work a day in her life anyways. Mostly, she just wants to hang out with her friends and enjoy herself.

Her parents, of course, are not happy about this... so they made sure that the college assigned her a coach to try and keep her in line. Is it working? Not really, but the coach probably tries their best anyway... to mixed results. Sometimes she runs for them and shows off her natural talent, but... most of the time she doesn't. Don't worry, though - there'll still be plenty of scenes where she is running.

This option is kind of a mix of the two above. She's great at running - if she applies herself - but it's clearly not something that she wants to spend her life doing like the second option. Unlike the second option (and like the first) she's also arrogant and confident... just about the fact that she doesn't want to run. She's a rebel! You might even say... a total rebel?

This poll will end next week on the 24th of March... so about seven days. Make sure you get your votes in before then! After that, we'll start the polls for the teacher... unless this one needs a tiebreaker. The last two polls were pretty decisive, though, so perhaps this one will be decisive too?
