Hello everyone!

Small town won the last poll! Over the past couple of days I have been jotting down ideas. At first, I came up with about half a dozen. Then, I narrowed that list down to four. Then, I narrowed it down to two, so ... there are two options.

In an ideal world I would like to present three, but these are the two that I feel most compelled to write. Since I will be making this game for over a year - possibly even longer, since it has a larger scope than A Tiny Furry - I ultimately decided to pick the two settings that were most interesting to me.

So! Below is a bunch of information. Please read through it and pick the poll choice that sounds most compelling to you!

-

Traveller’s Hub (Fantasy)

A town that’s between two major cities. Beginner level fantasy game vibes - a small town that has everything a budding adventurer might need. This small town suddenly becomes not-so-small when you found yourself shrunk in it, however.

Themes

More high fantasy than low fantasy, though it would have elements of grit and such. It wouldn’t be twinkling towers of mage light, more medieval buildings. But, you know, magic and dragons and whatnot are a thing.

Anthros/creatures that inhabit this world would be a mixture of mundane and fantastical in this sense. While the townsfolk will mostly be your standard anthros, a fantasy setting allows us to give them slightly more fantastic abilities. Not only this, it allows us to add magical creatures and monsters and such - everything from monsters/monster people to ferocious dragons.

This is very much a bustling town. Walking in the streets and such is liable to get you trampled. Fortunately, since it’s a fantasy setting, creatures smaller than you existed long before you become shrunk. You’ll have to use their passageways to navigate the town from above and below for the most part.

With smaller creatures already existing - and fantasy being a thing - you being shrunken will be much less fantastical to the people of this world. This will naturally lead to a lot more varied reactions from the cast of characters.

Possible Locales

Fantasy style businesses - a tavern/inn, a reagents/potion shop, a blacksmith, an enchanter, stables, etc.

Surrounding those businesses is a residential area, which which will be full of static/roaming NPCs.

A multi-leveled dungeon on the outskirts of town. Getting to the bottom just might earn you a prize … though you’ll have to make your way past plenty of monstrous anthros and feral creatures.

Beach Town (Modern)

A small beach town close to the sea. Somewhere fairly sleepy and kinda outdated - the sort of place where you’d have a boring vacation.

Themes

Being that it’s a modern setting, it’d be very loosely realistic to the laws of our world. Naturally you’re a shrunken person running around in a big world, so there’s always going to be an element of fantasy, but you’re not going to see people summoning lightning or anything.

To this note, most anthros/creatures inhabiting this world would be realistic people with realistic ambitions and problems and such. The arcade owner who’s struggling with their dying business. A couple who are on vacation. A loud surfer who really wants to get laid. These are obviously just examples, but … stuff like that.

This is a place that used to be a tourist trap. While it’s going to be a much more active locale than A Tiny Furry (you won’t find empty corridors and streets and such) it’s not going to be positively bustling or anything like that.

Possible Locales

Small touristy town businesses. Taverns and other eateries, gift shops, busted up arcades, fishing/boat rental places, coffee shops, motels, etc.

The beach itself! This would be a pretty large and sorta dynamic area. Obviously a lot of danger here, but also plenty of potential for fun.

Residential places - this could range from mundane homes to beach houses to a local trailer park.

Happy voting! I'll be back at you later with a couple of commissions, and, hopefully, I should have one of the big 20,000 word bad boys ready by the end of the week! And, of course ... A Tiny Furry Preview 6!

Loves! <3
