Hi ^_^ it's Sunday, time for the progress report.
This week I've been working on the ending. Got some new renders, and managed to get a nice squishy internal look, (two way soft body <> fluid interaction along with a cutaway is the most complex simulation shot I've designed so far and took a long time to work out how to do it)
I've also included a 4K still of the gooey pullout to show what's in store for the next part of the end, this is only for the alt version for now as I'm having to do separate sims for each, finally got this setup going about an hour or so ago and the 4k render with motion blur took 25mins (and I'm getting tired.)
Next week will be finishing this all up. Getting the fur looking clumped and wet where hit, polishing the animation and simulation, and any time left over (if any) will be spent working on the wolfs fur.
I'm thinking of taking a break for a week after this animation is done. The last time I took a break (well one not caused by vaccine side effects) was over Christmas
It'll be half R+R and half updating my software setup doing lots of odds and ends I've been put off because I needed to make sure everything was consistent between renders. (and making sure I've time to go back to the current setup if things doesn't work correctly)
Also it looks like the Fox has won the poll, so the next animation will be the fox and wolf, I've a few ideas of what to do but I'm always open to suggestions. Also to keep render times sensible I'll be doing two versions rather than every possible combination, one with both fox and wolf standard and another featuring the alt versions of both. (and I'm still going to be doing the mini anim of the fox using his muzzle on the ott)
anyway I hope you enjoy the new squishy internals and I'll see you all next week for more animated goodness. :D
