Kathie doodles (Patreon)

FR- Kathie, un très vieux personnage à moi. Pour une illustration romantique que j'ai eu à faire un peu plus tôt en février, on m'a proposé de la dessiner avec Rygel (car j'avais la pose en tête mais pas inspiré pour le couple). Sauf que, je n'avais jamais pris le temps de mettre son design à jour. Ça été l'occasion de me pencher un peu dessus.

Son ancien design était très saturé en couleurs (il faut dire qu'elle a été crée quand j'avais juste accès à des crayons de bois/ feutres, donc teintes limitées). J'en ai profité pour adoucir/rendre plus harmonieux ses couleurs. 

Kathie est supposé être très délicate, car avant elle avait des ailes (longue histoire...et je ne sais pas si je v ais garder ça) Alors elle se devait d'être légère pour voler. J'ai gardé cet aspect et je l'ai accentué, pour permettre un plus grand contraste avec Rygel, mon doux géant.

J'ai hésité sur ses cheveux, mais le look cheveux très court me permets de pousser les différences avec d'autres de mes personnages féminin et ça lui va bien :)

EN- Kathie, a very old character of mine. For a romantic illustration I had to do earlier in February, I was asked to draw her with Rygel (as I had the pose in mind but no inspiration for the couple). Except, I'd never taken the time to update her design. This was my chance to take a closer look.

Her old design was very saturated with color (it must be said that she was created when I only had access to wood pencils/felt pens, so the hues were limited). I took the opportunity to soften her colors and make them more harmonious. 

Kathie is supposed to be very delicate, because she used to have wings (long story...and I don't know if I'll ever keep it), so she had to be light to fly. I kept this aspect and accentuated it, to create a greater contrast with Rygel, my gentle giant.

I hesitated about her hair, but the very short hair look allows me to push the differences with other of my female characters and it suits her well :)
