Tests de couleurs (Patreon)

FR- Pour la BD que je souhaite faire avec Lola et Zak, je me questionne beaucoup pour savoir quel style de 'coloration' prendre. Il est certain qu'en noir et blanc me reviendrais pas mal moins cher, surtout si je dois la publier à compte d'auteur (mais une partie de moi aimerais grandement trouver un éditeur). En couleurs serait par contre tellement chouette!! mais pour ça, fortes chances que je doive me trouver un coloriste pour m'aider à réaliser le out. Disons que l'on peut rêver! :P

Les deux premières, en noir et blanc, on chacune leurs avantages. Celle de gauche est réalisée de la même façon que la plupart de mes BDs de Wakfu, ainsi que les projets de romans jeunesse que je fais auprès des maisons d'éditions avec lesquelles je collabore. Simple, efficace et d'un style un peu cartoon. Celle de droite est plus graphique, plus personnelle à mon style et plus rapide à réaliser. 

Celles en couleurs maintenant. Celle de gauche en haut est très de base, ni ombre ni lumière. Celle à sa droite ajoute déjà un peu plus, avec de l'ombre. On garde un coté très cartoon à ce style. En bas à gauche on y ajoute une couche de luminosité et celle de droite est fait en style plus graphique.

Vous remarquerez que pour ces tests, les traits restent noir, car c'est une charge considérable qui s'ajouterait au projet si je décidais de le faire. J'essaie de voir l'équilibre entre rapidité et finition.

J'ai encore plusieurs tests à faire, que je vous montrerai au fils des semaines. Je me suis donné comme objectif d'y consacrer un 2-4h par semaine, au travers mes projets professionnels.

EN- For the comic book I want to do with Lola and Zak, I'm thinking a lot about what style of 'coloring' to go for. Black and white would definitely be a lot cheaper, especially if I'm going to self-publish (but part of me would love to find a publisher). Color, on the other hand, would be so much fun! but for that, chances are I'd have to find a colorist to help me with the out. Let's just say we can dream! :P

The first two, in black and white, each have their advantages. The one on the left is done in the same way as most of my Wakfu comics, as well as the children's novel projects I do for the publishing houses I work with. Simple, effective and a little cartoonish. The one on the right is more graphic, more personal to my style and quicker to produce.

Now for the color ones. The one at the top left is very basic, with neither shadow nor light. The one on the right already adds a little more, with shadow. This style retains a very cartoonish feel. The one on the lower left adds a layer of luminosity, and the one on the right is done in a more graphic style.

You'll notice that for these tests, the strokes remain black, as this would add a considerable load to the project if I decided to do it. I'm trying to strike a balance between speed and finish.

I still have several tests to do, which I'll show you as the weeks go by. I've set myself the goal of devoting 2-4 hours a week to it, through my professional projects.
