As a lead scientist in robot engineering, she sure had her share share of success... up until that fateful accident with within the laboratory : while damages were tremendous (she lost half her body), she was lucky that the other half and head were almost left untouched.

She spent several months in hospital, recovering slowly : she was now half the woman she used to be (hahaha, sorry...) and while her she could survive this way, she was quite stuck with such a disabling shape.

Prosthetics had made quite progress lately, but with her injuries, it was still difficult to make them work properly. That's were she decided to use an AI she created that would coordonate with her movements, up until she could create the perfect prosthetics.

... Or maybe she'll grow attached to it and will keep that second head with her forever.
